And to everyone who says that tazers are a good substitute, they have on charge and probably wont even knock them out, assuming you hit them.
I mean obviously. That's like saying "Which is more colorful? This blue wave a of light, or sound waves." A HUGE part of religions is that you're supposed to have faith despite the lack of evidence.
Heck yeah if it looked like a bear claw dipped in hair grease like in the picture!
See, I find issue with people who believe that religion and science go with each other like bread and butter. Religion is perfectly fine in my book, and I'm an atheist. I seriously love hearing about peoples belief systems and their positions. But though science isn't a religion, it very well serves the purpose of one. Threw theories and studies we find explanations to why things are what they are. Religion services the same purpose. So I have a hard time wrapping my head around someone explaining the universe two ways and saying they're the same.
Ants are pests. Can any of you honestly say that if you could press a button and it would get rid of all the annoying infestations that we call ants disappear and not be relied on by anything you wouldn't? They bite! The invade! Not to mention so 40 to 50 people die in the US alone from falling in red ant hills!
It's not like having a universal set of laws would suddenly force a ton of countries in peace or war! It's simple, Nations would be like huge states that followed a global constitution. Now these states could dominate one another, unite, divide, or even overturn themselves completely. One state might be communist, one might be capitalist. But they would all follow a few global laws
It's not like if the world unified that every would just imediately intermix! The only real difference is that rather than being Town Laws, Region Laws, Federal Laws, it would be Town Laws, Region Laws, Federal Laws, World Laws. Some federations would still function one way, some another, some with lots of crime, some with little. Just with a few universally true laws
Yes but ONLY indirectly. Laws are created based on beliefs. Some get their beliefs from religion. That doesn't make every belief religious
A atheist is a person who doesn't take the words of a 2000 year old book as true just because the people who wrote it down were smart enough to add that they were guided by the "Holy Spirit". An atheist is a person who remembers celebrating christmas not as a day worshipping Christ, but a day when family gathered together around a fireplace and learned giving was better than recieving. An atheist is a person who looks at many religions and see they all have three similar features: An invisible force you simply must believe in, the promise of a reward that isnt tangable because they promise it behind the veil of death, and that it regiments your beliefs stating if you dont, when you pass that veil of death you'll find evil and pain. So i apologize that I DONT want to follow the words of a book that tells me everyone is equal*, oh, except for: Black people, Arabic people, women, the poor, and those of other religions.
Because of corruption generated by their "President" who lived under that fake title while he manipulated those around him with the actions of a dictator
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
