I walk around without make up on everyday, and unless I'm working I'm in sweats or blue jeans with a t-shirt. I've never had a girl not except me, but I've had plenty of men tell me they think Im too masculine. I even had one guy tell me if I didn't start acting like a woman id never find a husband (useless advice I'm already married) never have I had a woman look down on me for it.

I noticed someone asked the question of "where", and in my case I am arguing in favor of legalizing polygamy in the United States.

Polygamy is a very personal private lifestyle choice, and the government has no place denying a group of consenting adults the right to make such a lifestyle choice. There are no laws outlawing a man or woman from cheating/keeping mistresses/etc, because this is an infringement on a persons private life. Yet it is illegal for a man to marry and provide for more than one woman and the children he has with them? We should be free to choose who we marry, and how many people we marry, as long as those participating in the marriage are adults, have full knowledge of the circumstances of the marriage, and give their consent fully and freely. Tbe government has no place denying citizens the right to make their own decisions regarding their private lives.

Arguing that polygamy goes against religion makes no sense. Does it go against certain Christian groups beliefs? Yes. Does it go against every religion? No. Marriage is not an institution reserved solely for Christians, and no one has the right to force their own religious beliefs involving marriage on others, especially not legally.

That being said, I would not personally consent to a polygamous marriage. I'm to jealous to let my husband involve himself with another woman. But if two woman love the same man, the man loves them both, and they consent to a polygamous marriage who am I to say they are wrong? The same goes for two men and one woman.

In the case of children, however, polygamy should remain illegal. No child should be coerced into a marriage polygamous or otherwise.
