While this certainly seems a good sentiment, history shows that people don't live in society without having problems with one another. Those with little steal from and resent those who have more than they and those with much often maintain what they have at the expense of others.

An orderly law system has shown itself to stave off the impulses of humanity to a point where society can exist with certain amounts of freedom.

Benjamin Franklin is reported to have said, “Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.”

While this might seem to support the position of freedom, we must analyze the times of Benjamin Franklin to realize that he supported the cause of order as much as if not more than freedom. We must understand that he was not speaking of liscense (The right to do whatever you desire to obtain your goals) but instead freedom (the right to act in a society to which one has assented).

To be clearer, to involved oneself in any society is to place on oneself certain burdens of order and to lose "liscense." Freedom and order are not necessarily contradictory. Instead, order can allow for freedom within a society where it would not exist in anarchy.
