The bible is a truly despicable book which has a god who commands in his name abortion , infanticide , child abuse , misogyny, pestillance , famine ,drought , child sacrifice etc ,etc , it's a truly horrendous book that most Christians haven't read yet claim it's the word of a loving god and its possibly the most immoral book ever written .

If your worldview says that we are but a byproduct of stardust, why would it matter if the Bible has abortion , infanticide , child abuse , misogyny, pestilence , famine, drought, child sacrifice etc ,etc? So what? We're stardust.

The Roman Catholic Church for example does good and bad. They have killed and tortured many but has done a lot of charity work and set up many hospital and schools. So we can't tell if they are true or false teachers or not.

We actually can tell them by their fruits. What the Roman Catholic Church did was wrong. If they would have studied, and read the Bible they wouldn't have killed, or tortured peoplee because nowhere in the New Testament does Jesus really instruct anyone to do such a thing.

On a side note, you actually can people by their fruits. I see it all the time whenever I'm out and about in this world. I'm aware of how people are. It certainly does work.

If you change any part of the Bible to become more "tolerant" then it's wrong because you aren't supposed to take anything out of the Bible, or add anything to it.

It is based on Earth because it was documented. I always do think when I read. What about you?

1 point

It happened. There is two perspectives, but they don't contradict each other, as what was explained above. Did you even read it?

1 point

So are you saying that what I explained isn't logical? Even though I gave a source and it had a good explanation as to why it isn't a contradiction?

1 point

There is no contradiction here at all because both are true. A contradiction occurs when one statement excludes the possibility of another. The Second Law of Logic, the Law of Non Contradition, (LNC) says that something cannot be both true and false at the same time and in the same sense. It is not a contradiction to describe something differently: Judas was hung and Judas fell down. Both are possible since neither negates the possibility of the other. A contradiction occurs when one statement makes another statement impossible but both are said to be true. So, what happened here is that Judas went and hung himself and then his body later fell down and split open. In other words, the rope or branch of the tree probably broke due to the weight and his body fell down and his bowels spilled out.

Also, notice that Matt. 27:3-8 tells us specifically how Judas died, by hanging. Acts 1:16-19 merely tells us that he fell headlong and his bowels gushed out. Acts does not tell us that this is the means of his death where Matthew does.

Yes, He will because save me from my worries. I cast my worries upon Him, and He gives me rest just like what is sad in the Word of God. With God anything is possible. My parents, friends, and this world can help me, but I know my friends and family would direct me to Jesus because they know that help comes from the Lord. The world as of right now wouldn't help me out at all because they only care about the well being of themselves unless you're important to said people.

Don't tell me to stop believing, I do what I'm called to do by God and that is to His Will. Why not be a part of that? What's so bad about believing? This world needs good news and Jesus has good news for us.

Yes, I have been in love, and I also have had my heart broken. One of the greatest feelings when you're in love, and the worst when your heart is broken by someone you love.

In the end Jesus is going to take down Satan, so I'm already on the winning side.
