From the start he had already tried to turn any favour away from his rival, Trotsky by purposefully making him miss Lenin's funeral making people despise him. He then continued to eliminate anyone who posed a threat to him and made it seem like he too was a victim and thus a less likely suspect.

That is a very nice idea and I like it. Pardon me if I am wrong but do your worship a higher power?

Religion is just a distraction. Christianity and Buddhism, what are the similarities. Most if not all religions state that there is a stage of utmost enlightenment, Nirvana for Buddhism, Heaven for christianity. But those cannot be achieved without sacrifice. Humans since the day we could think and comprehend has always had a bearing of right and wrong. People believed that the state of enlightenment could be achieved through sacrifice and doing works that are "right". But when there is a good there must be a bad, hell. Hell was not just a fear factor, it was to justify why there was a Heaven. The reason why religion is different is because though they branched out from the bearing of good and evil, were expanded by people. People have their own points of view, each has a bearing of what was right or wrong, all affected by culture, environment, and upraising. Religion is just a distraction created by man to escape the realities of life, giving them something that was easy to commit to with optimal benefits.

Now for a personal view: I was a christian until I realised that Chritianity is just a distraction from life that gives you a father figure to rely on, but I questioned too much and ran out of answers to give myself and so I could not commit to something that gave me pain. So instead of distracting myself with nothing I pursued a better life through my own strength. I heard about Buddhism from a friend and I like how they practice to strive for self realisation and peace but I know that I can never achieve Nirvana as I have other worldy commitments. So all in all I feel that religion is a distraction created by man as an escape from reality, supported by human psychology studies that can justify this.

Germany caused the damage and scars of war. They used war as an excuse to carry forward their interests.
