A human right is something that is believe that without any argument should be given to every person. Healthcare is a convenience that we experience. During the 1920s hospitals began offering services based on people who paid. If it was a human right since the beginning everyone would have had free healthcare. A example of a human right is the “pursuit of happiness” that we can all obtain as humans. Everyone undeniable should pursue their own individually happiness.

I disagree, I feel having free health care is a matter of opportunity costs. Either everyone has free medical attention or the taxes increase in America. There is no guarantee that everyone will pay their taxes to pay for the universal health care.

There should NOT be universal healthcare, because everyone should be able to choose wether they want private or public insurance. There are 294.6 million in America that do have insurance and has increased by 2.3 million between 2016 and 2017. There are more people insured than uninsured. Therefore, the government will be giving free healthcare to a lot of people who can already afford it. Furthermore, having universal healthcare will cause taxes to increase tremendously. For example, France has universal healthcare and their taxes are 30%. However, I do believe that health care is America should be priced lower. For the people who can afford healthcare their can be a government operated program for them, just like the affordable care act. Lastly, as we witnessed in the documentary Sicko having universal health care causes long waits just to get medical attention.
