"I know is that people wrote the Bible while under the influence of the Holy Spirit (AKA, God)"
How? And you better not say because it says so in the Bible.
"Scholars have studied the Bible, a lot, and they cannot find errors in it, other than the fact that some of them think there is no God."
Maybe scholars from Answers in Genesis, but there are many, many, many errors in the Bible, even in the story of the Crucifixion, something that you would think would be the most important part of the whole thing.
I can understand the feelings from both sides, as I have had to deal with both (before a fam. member started I could joke about it without caring, now it's really irritating and it's become a soft spot for me). I just barely agree that you have the right, but obviously almost anything else is better.
I would think the opposite was true. The choice to reject all religions puts you in the position of being subject to any and all afterlife punishments from all religions.
Then again, that still applies to theists, but removes one of said afterlives. From my experience from liberal Cali lots of people just default to "I believe in God, but I'm fuzzy on the rest." In my opinion, not a mature response.
Can I give a yes to some children's programming because it's absolutely ridiculous/mindless? I stopped watching any form of children's programming at around eleven because I couldn't watch more than five minutes or so without the strongest urge to remove myself from this world in the quickest way possible.
"What makes you think it is possible to see a supernatural, metaphysical, multi-dimensional being not bound by natural laws or processes?"
On the flip-side of that, how can you know such a being exists?
@ KlLLUMINATI The argument from design. Really? People are still using that?
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
