I would support an atheist president above all else (if I agreed with the policies, of course), but it doesn't matter if a theist president is a Christian, a Muslim, or a Jew. Hell, it would be more interesting to have a Hindu president!

The most effective way to end poverty, strictly speaking, would be to erase all records of the concept from our society. Eliminate the word. Change news articles and media to reflect the new paradigm. Within a generation people will forget the concept.

Oh, the practical and applicable things one can learn from 1984!

So you'd prefer your daughter in the back seat of some 18 year old boy's car?

Obama was doing what he had to win. We know this because he won. She apparently was doing what she had to lose.

You do realize that both of them are near polar opposites to Obama's position?

Yes, this was effectively what I was going to say.

CNN and Fox are both biased, but their bias(es?) are different. Fox News has a very conservative, right wing bias, which shows in the kinds of stories and editorializing they do. CNN, on the other hand, has more of a "corporate media" bias. Their reporting is shoddy at best, and they provide a lot of fluff without much information. Both are mainly entertainment, rather than reporting.

Though I haven't watched much NBC, it seems that some of their reporters might be better. Olbermann is a great muckraker, and I hope he remains one during the next administration (as opposed to toeing the party line).
