Because every country needs a mascot :) Beside, America is about supporting the majority, and guess what? Around 76% of Americans are Christian :) Last time I checked, they worshiped God...
Yes, I am familiar with the Laws of Conservation of Mass and Energy, so I see what you mean. The food thing was just my way of agreeing with you ;)
I have done some reading on Existentialism, while studying the 19th and 20th centuries, and it was quite interesting. Personally, I don't think one will truly find their purpose of existence till they are on their death bed :)
Hmmmm, that is an interesting perspective. Physical root, I will remember this :)
Regardless of whether or not humans are the sole or major contributing factor to global warming, action should still be taken to protect the heath and over all well-being of the human race. Last time I checked, carbon emissions weren't beneficial to a healthy lifestyle. In addition, more efficient and green technology just seems to be the next step in technology, and it looks cool too :)
People (computer crackers and hackers and the like) could freely manipulate and screw with my mind. Doesn't sound very pleasant. Oh yeah, viruses not being able to enjoy my favorite foods :(
Hmmmmm, I like this. I see what you mean by your first point, it was my mistake to assume that Evolution attempts to explain how life began. The Origin of Species simple explains how life may have diversified in relation to the environment (and many other points I don't have time to discuss as of now :). Your second point, however, I cannot seem to bring myself to agree with. From various sources (http://www.notjustatheory.com/ for example) Evolution is supported by fact, but is not fact in itself.
Actually, I agree with these sources that a theory should be regarded as higher than fact (because it shows and not just tells). Still, I have some doubts of the Theory of Evolution, and when I said that it won't last, I meant the current model. I find the time frame ,in which evolution has occurred on a macro-scale, hard to accept (I know of two or three biologists who feel the same). I also notice that of all the fossil records used to support evolution, none show any solid patterns of transition and always seem complete in form (Did monkey just suddenly decide to shed hair and stand up right because the weather suddenly changed?) I apologize if I my stance was ambiguous.
As for you last comment, well I could actually see that happen. The Sun could suddenly explode, and 8 minutes later we would see it. We would probably feel it first :) I think there are relatively high odds that the sun could implode, just not at 4pm :)
Wikipedia knows all :) to limit existence to physical manifestation, however, is something I wanted to avoid. Ideas exist do they not? Are ideas not intangible?
Thank you Einstein :P However, I find the word consume to be a bit strange... This actually seems to be a good definition for eating - to consume space (food takes space) for a duration of time by means of the transaction of energy (you use energy to eat and gain even more in return).
Hehe, I like this one. Sounds similar to something Edgar Alan Poe would say :)
It should be banned because time is money, and Necrophilia is an unproductive, waste of time. It also spreads desease and opens the doorway for a whole lot of other weird behavior, like beastiality (also a waste of time)... Oh yeah, we need morals to control unstable human beings, and since Nectophilia goes against the grain it should be banned based on moral standards :)
