We all know that ultimately this is something none of us here can prove but the facts so far point overwhelmingly to a political assassination. Bush and Cheney don't give a damn about laws, they say so frequently. America's naive and brainwashed culture allows them and those like them to get away with it repeatedly. The people who try to clean up the filth get murdered, it's nothing new. We do it all the time in foreign countries. The thing that shocks me is how little people know or care about this.

Yes, my beef with Powell is only in regards to his speech to the UN. The link above is a short summary of what evidence Powell presented to the UN. It's a matter of opinion as far as why they used this evidence. I think it was either deliberate deception or an extreme case of wanting the evidence to support their ideals. This administration and a few others have always had their greedy eyes set upon the Middle East and especially Iraq. As far as him being a patsy or not, who knows. As smart and influential as he is I doubt that's the case, but I could be wrong.

First of all, how is offense NOT aggression? they're practically synonymous. And to think that America doesn't have it's only form of ignorance, zeal, and propaganda is naive. You're falling for their BS, they just use fear to get you to pay taxes for the imperialist war machine. But I'm not here to teach you about American history, if you really want to find out why people hate us the information is out there when you're ready for it.

I agree with you that people's views are interesting. I don't, however, agree with you that Powell is a honest person. He may be a good military leader but calling him honest is contrary to everything we've discovered about the build up to the Iraq war. He lied about WMD, he lied about Nigerian yellow cake, he lied when he tried to scare with his vials of death, he lied about the mobile nuclear reactors. And the whole time they all had intelligence that disproved those lies. Now we are stuck in a costly, illegal war with no end that destroyed a nation and inflamed the region. To this day he has not apologized nor even acknowledged the lie. He ruined his credibility and has been making it worse ever since.

Your statement; "There are extremest in the world that just out right hate America and what we stand for" is plain ridiculous. It's a myth used to confuse the American public. For sure there are extremists, but they don't bomb and attack us for the beliefs (religious, political, or economic), they bomb us because we bomb them. We've been murdering millions of people in dozens of countries for decades. What you're referring to is backlash for all the families we have bombed or starved with economic sanctions and one sided trade rules. It's a side effect of our arrogance in thinking that we should police the world and that we have the right to profit of the poverty and ignorance of 3rd world countires.

It depends on which goods and services are being taxed more, both income and sales taxes can be exploited and abused. The problem that nobody realizes or mentions is the lack of necessity for the current income tax. Our monetary system is an outrageous fraud perpetrated by wealthy bankers for the sole purpose of extorting money out of every individual not part of their club. It's funny money and debt. Our income taxes are just paying the interest on that debt. What we really need is to nationalize the Federal Reserve so the government can issue the currency, like the constitution originally intended. That will immediately fix our debt problem, as most of it is to the Federal Reserve, and it will stop the redistribution of wealth through inflation to the hands of the insanely wealthy. It's the most important step, but only the first of many. We need to recognize what the problem is before we can agree on a solution.

Yes, it does influence my opinion of Obama. Before I wasn't sure if he was a shill of the aristocracy, now I'm almost certain. Obama, the "anti-war" candidate, not only accepted the endorsement of the figure head for the lies that got us into this war, he offered Powell an advisory role when he takes office. This really shows Obama's priorities. He doesn't want to stop this illegal war, he just wants to change strategies. "Change" my ass.

She should drop out. The entire primary process is a joke. There's not much democratic about it. The longer she stays in, the longer she makes our system look bad. Besides, she would be a horrible president. She's a liar and a crook, corrupt as hell. She doesn't care about the American people, only her own power and wallet.
