Mac is amazing to anyone who has hated Windows their entire f-ing life, but never knew what to do til they found mac. rbedi100 does have a point, as well. However, I just set up three PCs (two laptops and a desktop) on http://www.linucity.com that would easily beat out a mac on any scale, for a total of about 2 grand, and this is 2/3 the cost of what it would have been for macs. Windows sucks, Apple is good with some kinks that only happened because Steve Jobs is a horrible businessman, and Linux is the wild-card in that you can't always trust it to be what you want. However, if you're willing to put in the time and research you can get the best performance with Linux-based systems. And, if you want your old OS for something you can install it in a virtual machine or build a Hackintosh PC (or both).
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
