It offers what could be considered very simplified and stereotypical interaction. Are you for or against? Where is the nuanced discussion about ways in which one could be both for AND against? That is just one example: Sometimes online instruction oversimplifies things. It also limits interaction to individual assessment of the group conversation by the user in real time, whereas when people get together, there are many voices being simultaneously expressed.
