While the Simpsons will go down as one of the best shows of all time, nothing tops the genius of Seth MacFarlene's writing crew :)

While Futurama may be intelligent and may have better animation, Family Guy is a show that should not be compared to neither The Simpsons nor Futurama (kind of like you said haha). But, I believe the viewer's choice definitely goes to Family Guy because of all of the petitioning and DVD sales during it's cancellation. They realized that Family Guy would get better than the brilliance it already was...But Family Guy and Futurama are two very different shows. Seth MacFarlene, in my opinion, is THE greatest comedic writer of all time...a genius. Also, he's the richest person in Hollywood, and he OWNS Fox on Sunday nights. In conclusion, if Futurama was on Comedy Central, and Family Guy was on Cartoon Network, I would definitely choose Family Guy :)
