Social Darwinism and Darwinism have many similarities and differences.
Darwinism is : "the theory that species originate by descent with variation, from parent forms through the natural selction." while Social Darwinism is the social order which is accounted as the product of the natural selection of those persons best suited."
Similarities : They both include natural selection.
Social Darwinism have the physical traits to determine if theyd survive.
Darwinism : Observed by characteristic traits if you are able to survive or not survive .
Both came from the idea of Carles Darwin
I agree that Darwins Concepts contributed to eugenics for many reasons. Both Eugenics and Darwins Concept have to do with change of the environment. They were both influenced by something ; Darwin by the environment around him and the slaves getting beaten up and Eugenics same thing (not including slavery) but the environment around them the world and what it had to offer. Darwins theory gave an idea of changed trait being given down from the parent to the offspring as for Eugenetics the offspring has traits given down from the parent .
Slavery was going on at this time! Darwin saw slave kids getting beat up and it changed his mind on a whole lot. He didnt support slavery but yet again he did. He thought very poorly of colored people and made them seem less than what they really were. He wondered how people of color were here, did they evolve from apes? Then he came up with his theory of Evolution ; he was inspired by James Hutton & Charles Lyell. The influences Darwin had were : He promoted to ask about livingthings and changing over time and also he had realized that change took millions of years, he thought of that because of these scientist.
