Belief in God requires unfounded opinion (belief), superstition, and dogmas like Christian virgin birth.

Ghosts don't involve virgin birth. They only require fear of the unknown.

Belief is a con game. Eat the menu?

Backstabber, yes!

He was a backstabber. Now he's hero.

Liars stab democracy.

Bush still is still stabbing.

Get offended? That's bs. Taking everything personally is an indication of stunted development. Words are not offensive, but narrow-minded people are.

Shutdown speech and thought goes with it. Go ahead, be PC and join the other proud lemmings.

Call me the n word... I don't care.

Belief has nothing to do with religion. It is a trick to make people shut-up and doubt their own eyes.

Which god? How many gods? Why should we pretend to know what can't be known? Is that "good?"

Deluded is the right word. Maybe chumped-out would be more descriptive.

Meet with them? First we must find out who they are.

Eat is not the wrong verb for the consumption

of propaganda. Perhaps, force-fed would be

more accurate. We all eat it. Some people

find it indigestible. Others are full of it.

Persuasion is the wrong method to reach

victims of propaganda. They are unaware of

their chumpness, and direct exposure of that

embarrassing fact frequently fails.

Asking people if they eat propaganda is much

better than telling them they are victims of

propaganda, because one can be force-fed

propaganda without fully accepting it. Pride

can be salvaged.

The awareness that we live in a world of lies

is growing, and it makes an opening for

discussion about the lies. However, we need

an amnesty for victims of propaganda so they

won't be too embarrassed to be seen in

public. The lie we need is just that we never

believed it in the first place.

To claim that talking on a phone creates zero impairment wrong, but perhaps the impairment is small for just talking. Any small thing that can distract will impair driving to some degree. Button pushing and reading text messages are sure to cause greater impairment than talking.

Live on the moon? What planet are you from?

If we can't live on this beautiful earth without destroying it how could we hope that the desolate moon is an alternative?

Those who think space travel will solve our problems should go to the moon right away so the rest of us can try to make the earth a better place.

It has not become embarrassing; it always was.

Evangelicalism is inspiring. Just what it inspires is an

interesting question. I my family it has inspired

intolerance, hatred, pride, and estrangement.

Evangelicalism makes a difference, for the worse.

If Jesus came back he would deny being a Christian.

Is Our Food a Gift from God?

When we say in the blessing, "Thank you God for the gift of this food." we are implying that our work contributed very little compared to God's gift. If we really accepted that food, and all wealth, is really a gift from God, or from nature, we would be taking a different attitude toward unearned income.

Automation will stimulate new thinking about the role of human labor in putting food on the table. The reduction of the need for human labor combined with our growing awareness that God, or nature, is the real provider will make the idea of 'earning your living' seem quaint.

Capitalism has the key to stopping unsustainable consumption growth hidden in it most hidden feature, unearned income.

If we really accepted that our food is a gift from God, harvested by machines, we would feel different about taking a vacation. Then without the need for lots of paid jobs, we can start to protect the natural systems that we all depend on by slowing down to smell the flowers.

When people only need to work a few days a month, oil consumption and CO2 production from their commute will fall to ZERO when they stay home. That is real innovation and more efficient than any alternative form of transportation.
