The sole purpose of the government is to provide public education, create roads, improve cities & towns, hospitals, churches, protect citizens, etc. The sole purpose of the government is for the public good, NOT to "hold back civilization and shit all over the commons people." Without our tax dollars we would not have the money to provide these things for our citizens. Also, if we had the resources to keep society goin ourselves, then we would not need to be taxed, but we don't. We're all in this together, so let's keep paying our taxes and keep our country going.

I agree that we should be taxed to help society. Tax dollars go towards creating new roads, further improving our cities and towns, public education, and churches. Also, our tax money goes to others who may be less fortunate.
