Don't kid yourself. While im sure a small minority of girls would be capable of "working just as well as boys", the vast vast majority of girls neither have the capacity or interest in maintaining weaponry, bench pressing, and sparring with bayonets. Its not how nature works, accept it, embrace it, etc.

What people don't seem to recognize is that in order to win a war, you must have steady supply of young soldiers. The majority of women need to continue to produce offspring to maintain the countries future.

Also, women who volunteer have made the self determined decision to join the military, which is rare compared to the great majority of women, who have no desire or interest. Imagine how many men hate the thought of being drafted into the militarily, imagine if 18 year old American girls were drafted! The whole concept is preposterous. Equality can only go so far before we have to face the fact that women and men are different and serve different roles.
