Also, during the 1800s, Hitler was influenced by Darwin's theory because they conducted experiments that made them believe that they were closely related to apes. One of Darwin's theories that influenced Hitler was that if someone looked different from someone else, they didn't have the right to survive because they were closely related to apes.

I agree. Darwinism is how evolution is influenced by they environment and social Darwinism how nature chooses who is most fit.

1 point

One difference is that Darwinism is how evolution influences the environment and the social Darwinism is how nature selects the strongest to survive.

One similarity is that Darwinism influences social Darwinism because based on the changes in the environment over time, nature adapts to those changes and selects the strongest to survive.

I agree. If evolution happens in our environment, then the animals change because of what they adapt from the environment.

1 point

I agree because it is influenced by the environment, therefore it changes over time.

I agree. When Darwin saw colored slaves, he wondered how and why they were colored. Darwin believed that if someone looked different than he did, then they were not human, but were closely related to apes.

In what ways is epigenetics influenced by the environment? If you disagree, why and how is epigenetics not influenced by the environment? Then what is influenced by the environment?

During the 1800's, slavery existed. When Darwin saw colored slaves, he did not like the fact that they were being tortured but did wonder how and why they were colored. Darwin believed that if someone looked different than he did, then they were not "human". He also believed that since they were colored, they were closely related to apes. During the time of slavery, people were influenced by Darwin's theory which is why they believed that the colored were different from whites so they were treated cruelly.
