Honestly, I don't think that there is nor ever will be concrete, irrefutable evidence of the existence (or non-existence) of a God. Anything that some would say is a "miracle" can be attributed to blind chance by anybody who doesn't believe that it could have been a miracle. Similarly, even if you are "touched by God" (which I believe has happened to me and many people I know on multiple occasions) it is very easy just to explain it away in your head. I think it would be a little too easy if God just dropped some evidence for us to find, though. Belief would no longer be based on faith.

It is common knowledge that a significant portion of human communication is nonverbal, and a significant part of verbal communication is governed by tone of voice and diction. I think that digital communication gives us as humans a new way to interact with one another, but that this new way is extraneous and neither should nor can replace face-to-face, one-on-one interaction. You can feel as close as you want to somebody on the internet, but if you spent the equivalent amount of time with them face-to-face having a conversation your relationship would be drastically different. Perhaps for the less-than-confident digital communication is a good thing; it doesn't require you to face the person you are talking to, and you can lay something of a groundwork for a relationship before actually meeting. I restate, however, that for the most part no legitimately intimate relationship can come out of only digital communication. If you relate to people mostly by digital means, then yes, I believe that you are losing touch with how to relate in real life.

Eventually Vista will grow into something good, but as of right now the truth is that I would rather use XP any day. It really isn't a big deal to me how my GUI looks, so that takes away basically the biggest advantage that Vista has over XP. DirectX 10 should be a big asset, but its lackluster performance so far says otherwise. The fact is, Vista doesn't bring a whole lot of new features to the table and still manages to bog down my system, especially in games that ran fine in XP. Not to mention driver issues left and right. Once a service pack comes out, then I'll switch fully. Only one of the four computers in the house uses Vista, and needless to say it sees the least action out of the four. If I could play Crysis on Very High without changing cvars in XP then I'd do it, but it's just not worth the hassle to me for a few more frames. I guess that's what it really comes down to: Vista offers too few features for too much hassle.

Nearly every religion that has ever existed boils down to a moral code. Every major world religion includes the Golden Rule in its doctrine in some way. While many realize that following the Golden Rule results in good for all parties involved, many more would not follow the Golden Rule if they did not believe that they were bound to do so by some higher power. I believe that the world would be a better place if people stopped caring so much about religious divisions and moved away from religious extremism, but without religion I think that less and less people would still look out for their fellowman.

I agree that context matters in deciding whether or not to use full and complete English or acronyms and internet slang. When engaged in a debate or a similar situation in which specific language is necessary to make a clear point, then I believe that proper English is a must. However, when writing on a friend's Facebook Wall or messaging them through AIM, as long as they understand what you mean then it doesn't matter how you type.

I would like to add that internet slang that actually adds to the length and complexity of a statement isn't helping anyone, i.e. heyyyy howz ur summer goiiinggg????? :]]]]].
