Yes, I'm trying to overcompensate for all of the seriousness in his life. I'm not being flippant and I'm not being sarcastic. There have been a lot of episodes in my life where I've said, "I would never...." and then I did. There have also been a lot of episodes in my life where I stress over something and it turns out OK. I have found that I feel better when I just tell myself, "It doesn't matter one way or the other." But people don't get that/me.

Is that really why you get those calls where there is no one on the other end? I hate those! Thanks for the tip!

I have been using the Yahoo site for years! last night was our draft, and they seemed to have improved some things from last year, such as the user interface, and organization of stats.

Because in swimming it is ok to be 14 and swim in the Olympics, it is not ok to be 14 and compete in gymnastics. Those are the rules, regardless of the talent level of the athlete. This rule was set for the health of the athletes, so they say. They IOC is investigating it... we will see what they find out.

Actually, in the Olympics, we "mark" people as being better than others... so marking people as "less then" is not always the case as you say it is.

In the case of CD, we are also already marked, with the reward points... my whole point is that the efficiency score is more important to some of us than the reward points, so why cannot both be displayed next to our names and not buried in our profiles? I do not find this arrogant, and again, the name calling is not needed.

Here is a really funny article from Yahoo on this topic of the gymnastic judging! I like this quote:

"Look, I don't know much about gymnastics, but I do know that landing a vault on two feet is better than landing one on two knees."

Well, I am assuming that you are referring to the gymnastics judges...

If you have watched a second of women's gymnastics than you would have to agree that yes, there is a bias there. In men's it seems to be fair, but the women's has been a disaster this year! My examples would be the beam, how can a girl fall to her knees and get a medal? And the stupid tie situation last night with the uneven bars, there should not have even been a tie in the first place and how it was dealt with was poor!

Yes, it would tell me that they are not worth debating with. Or we could do it in reverse, and give a color indicator to those with a HIGH score. Other wise, what is the point of this number? We already have the reward points listed by our names, why can't we include this efficiency number, too? Frankly, I find this number to be more important than the number of times some one has posted some thing!

On a personal note, I don't appreciate being called arrogant and be compared to the Nazis. There are lots of measures in life which we use on a daily basis to classify people, this is another example of that.

Some of the pop culture debates I don't mind, but the debates and points which are just put up there for people to get points is what annoys me!
