I don't think that there are many differences between Social Darwinism and Darwinism, besides how Darwinism is about survival of the fittest in nature and Social Darwinism is about survival of the fittest in business and that kind of stuff. Social Darwinism is about why some people are rich and why others are poor, and the answer to that is that if the rich person makes that money, they deserve it, and if the poor person is poor, it's because they aren't smart enough to be rich and make money off of an idea.
This was a very an interesting time period in the world, because it was the age if Imperialism. All of the major countries in the world had small colonies in Africa, South America, or Asia. Great Britain was the largest power in the world, and at that time period the saying "The sun never sets on the British Empire" was created. That's because Great Britain held many colonies all over the world. Darwin wondered why countries like Great Britain had so much power and wealth, and why so many others were made up of people living in squalor.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
