No. I'm proud to be Chinese, culturally, because I chose to be. In most cases, nationality is not something you choose. But if you do, I think you should be proud of your choice. Ethnicity, however, is the most foolish thing to be proud about.

Really? Can you provide some specific figures? I seem to remember that in 2003, the US experienced a net increase of jobs. 2003, when globalization was at its apex. I'm sure the figures for 2004, 2005 and 2006 are similar.

In an ideal communist society there is no such thing as wealthy, for wealth is only relative to what others have. If you and everyone else in your communist country had $1bln, would you be wealthy? No, unless in comparison to other "poorer" people elsewhere in the world. But then your wealth would be on the basis of inequality, no?
