Maybe a year ago, she could have been. But, in the run up to her death, the poor girl just couldn't see any light at the end of the tunnel and was spiraling out of control. No one could have helped her at that point, and death seemed inevitable. She should have been saved earlier, such a waste of sheer talent <3

Its really all about trust. My parents respect that I need my privacy so they don't read my text messages. If they thought I was in some type of danger, I think they would, but if not, parents shouldn't read their children's text messages.

Uniforms mean kids all look the same, therefore feel more comfortable. I stress every time there is a non school uniform day because it is like a fashion parade at school. I cant imagine everyday being like that. I think kids get judged too much by peers to warrant not wearing uniforms. I am so glad my school enforces uniform.

Santa Claus is tradition and traditions should be passed on. Belief in Santa Claus is one of the things you look back on as you get older. I love watching my younger siblings putting out cookies, a carrot and some whisky on Christmas eve ready for him coming. Even though I know he isn't real, it seems to make it so much more special. When I have children, I'm sure I will encourage the belief in Santa Claus. If they don't want to believe it, then that's fine, but if they do I will go along with it. :-)

My mum has always been very open with me about sex and relationships from a young age, meaning that when i met someone who i thought was special last year, mum was more than happy for him to come round to my house and to let me see him. Now, some of mums friends call her naive, saying that her being so okay with it could lead to me getting pregnant or similar situations. I believe that if my mum had said no to me being in a relationship, i would have rebelled and done things in spite. I think her allowing me to be in that relationship builds trust and I was aware that if she said no to something, it was for my own good. My mum says she will always be okay with me being in a relationships with the opposite gender, because it is a serious part of growing up and as long as she knows I'm safe, its fine. Parents should always be open to the fact that kids grow up, and being with the opposite gender is just a part of it.

I moved to a catholic school about 6 months ago. I'm an atheist and it has made no difference what so ever. I'm constantly surrounded by prayers and catholics beliefs about God and I have remained Atheist. My religious studies lessons teach me about the catholic faith - they do not force me to be catholic or brainwash me. We are taught to be respectful of all religions and that it is okay to be any religion. Obviously, most of my peers are catholic, and they all know that I don't believe in God. My RE teacher is also aware, and just works around that and is fine with it. I don't think teaching brainwashes kids at all. RE lessons are there to TEACH children about religion, not to brainwash them into a religion

I come from a family of Christians, and I go to catholic school and I am still Atheist. I have never prayed because i don't believe God exists. At my school, we are taught that God is omnipotent, omnibenevolent and omniscient. Surely, if he was real and omnipotent, he would use his power to overcome all the evil in the world. Surely, if he was real and omnibenevolent, he would insure the world was always as good as him. Surely, if he was real and omniscient, he would have been able to stop all this evil. A 'God' wouldn't allow people to suffer. I don't believe that god exists purely because science can explain most things, and in the future as science matures, there will be no room for God. At school, we seem to be expected to believe in something that we can't see. My friends talk about unanswered prayers and this only makes me more and more sure he doesn't exist. I respect that my friends at school are catholic and have the right to believe in God. They are aware that I don't believe in God, and never try to force me to believe in God. There is never any tension because in this society, I think people are becoming aware that this argument will always be a controversial one. No one can prove an answer so everyone should learn to respect each others views.

I think that as long as they are dressed appropriately there is no need to wear a certain uniform. At my school, there are certain rules that teachers have to follow so that us kids don't get offended. I think a uniform would make them seem less in control because it is putting them on the same level as us.

Winning Position: No, they shouldn't be banned
