I believe that all cultures and countries are different, so the age of adulthood may be different. The article, "Mandatory service to become an adult" talks about how the Dutch culture allow kids "to drink at age 16 but not drive until they are 19", but in America- kids can only drink at the age 21 yrs old. I believe that kids become adults at the legal age of most requirements for that state. Many have been taught by parents and good/bad decisions of how to live in society as an adult.
