Thank you for your words, I grew up on welfare, dad bailed, the target of bullies, Salvation Army clothes etc. I've tried every mainstream drug besides crack, heroin and bath salts but I've never been addicted to anything besides cigarettes. Essentially I had the choice to continue to do drugs and likely remain poor and miserable, or spend my time and money on more meaningful ways. Just as you have the choice to either be sympathetic to people who shared your plight or not. Either way it comes down to biology. No life form is excerpt from it.

Well yeah it's logical that teens would be at higher risk. Puberty, first loves, losing their virginity then being cheated on or broken up with, Cyber bullying, still coming into your own and feeling the stereotypical "nobody understands me" crap even though the truth is they don't understand themselves. It's safe to say that we are much more emotionally unstable as teens than adults.

This day in age some people seem proud to be stupid or ignorant. Just look at social media. They post memes that do their thinking for them, often without fact checking anything for themselves. Then they went so far as to reduce deep thoughts to #hashtags, which in itself is ludicrous. Have you ever noticed that people only use #yolo when they're doing something stupid? You never see "I just donated all my old clothes to the Salvation Army #yolo." "I just completed my masters thesis #yolo" "I just saved a baby from a hot car #yolo". People are dumbing down everything. Humanity in decline. Idiocracy.

Ok well small businesses collectively employ more people than big businesses do and I don't know a single billionaire small business owner. Do you? The rich are not job creators. The consumers are. If people can't afford to consume then the economy tanks and jobs are lost. To ensure people keep consuming, products are made progressively cheaper which means automation that costs us jobs or lower pay for workers to stay competitive. Either way with this method the end result will eventually be the collapse of our economy. What happens when say 75% of jobs are automated? Will you still say "if you just work harder you won't be poor"?
