U-F-O. Unidentified Flying Object. Is there any debate that apparently flying objects that are currently unidentified exist? You see an object in the sky, you have no clue what the hell it is, BAM! Unidentified flying object. Not an alien spacecraft, but an object you can't readily identify when you observe it. If you knew it was a spacecraft, then it would be identified and, thus, not a UFO.

I think the terminology needs to be more clearly defined.

look their are so many planets and galaxies, when someone says UFO most of you are probably thinking super smart aliens with large spaceships, but i regard a UFO as ANY type of life form large or small. Earth dose not contain the only life form throughout the universe.

I believe that UFO's do exist but that the universe is so large that they have not visited us yet.

I was abducted once and they messed with my heads.

UFOS are as real as Bigfoot and the loch ness monster, you have to be a idiot to think that any of them are hoaxes, they all have so many sightings and evidence. UFOS have abducted so many people, of course they're real, why else is the government trying so hard to cover them up.

aliens are real because other planets do support water.

786 days ago | Tagged As: Yes..I believe.

I do believe in UFOs but more importantly is there intelligent life somewhere out in the universe.

(Besides here on Earth)

UFO just means unidentified flying object , a non American or even American plane can be unidentified. but i DO BELIEVE IN ALIENS. I'm not self centered enough to believe we are the only ones. the universe is far to big. what part of infinite don't you guys understand.

obviously, u got to be pretty unimaginative to think this planet holds the only lifeforms through out the universe's

Or you could be realistic and look at all the random things it took to start live on this planet and the fact that no UFOs have been found despite centuries of searching and that we never were contacted, despite all the signals we are sending out constantly.

I believe in UFOs and am really hoping that one comes down and beams me up in to a galaxy where I can play golf all day and drink martinis all night.

UFOs are a fact and reported daily.

You cannot just state that something is a fact and reported daily. That is the point of argument. What are the facts, what is reported daily? Enlighten us.

UFOs are spotted every day, this doesn't mean they are 'beings from outer space'.

Before footie fever gripped the world, a brush with an octopus would be the exotic gourmet kinds, forking Htapothi Makaronatha or Htapothi Stifatho or any of the Greek delicacies prepared with octopus. Now, it’s the Octopus Paul – the oracle, the soothsayer, the official footie star who found fame without stepping anywhere near a football field. Everyone’s gaga over the resident of the Sea Life Aquarium in Oberhausen, Germany. So far he has managed to correctly predict the winner of every game at the tournament featuring his adopted country’s team (he’s British born but reared in Germany).

Top 10 things you need to know about World Cup star Paul the Psychic Octopus

Not just Paul, many pet owners can detect a sixth sense in their pets.

Do you have a psychic pet?

How does Paul see the future? By the way, he’s named Paul after a poem by German author Boy Lornse titled Der Tintenfisch Paul Oktopus. His keeper Oliver Walenciak believes it might have something to do with the fact that “all octopus have nine brains so we know he has exceptional powers.”

So, its not just Paul, but many psychic octopuses could be gliding around in the deep blue. Says Carl Zimmer in Slate: Octopuses can learn, they can process complex information in their heads, and they can behave in equally complex ways. But it would be a mistake to try to give octopuses an IQ score. They are not intelligent in the way we are—not because they’re dumb but because their behavior is the product of hundreds of millions of years of evolution under radically different conditions than the ones under which our own brains evolved.” The article gives a fascinating insight into the 1950 discovery of the massive brains of octopuses.

Researchers say octopuses are known to be highly intelligent and curious. This archived article from Discover explores the brainpower of an octopus.

Divers are amazed by the elaborate trails octopus follow along the seafloor. They say octopus are innately curious and take great care to examine divers, tugging at their masks and air regulators. Researchers and aquarium attendants tell tales of octopuses that have tormented and outwitted them. “Some captive octopuses lie in ambush and spit in their keepers’ faces. Others dismantle pumps and block drains, causing costly floods, or flex their arms in order to pop locked lids. Some have been caught sneaking from their tanks at night into other exhibits, gobbling up fish, then sneaking back to their tanks, damp trails along walls and floors giving them away.”

So, is Paul just another intelligent octopus with a distinct personality? What about his footie fever? Why this affinity for football? I don’t know. But I am really curious to know if he would be just as accurate at other forecasts – like elections. Paul the pollster has quite a ring to it. Perhaps.

Singapore’s Mani; the 13-year-old parakeet too has been correct in his predictions for all the quarter-final ties and the Spain-Germany semi-final.

if UFOs are true than looks like you guys need some help their just stories to scare kids ok

not really there are other things out there you no.

Are there Unidentified flying Objects? Sure, all the time. Are these UFO's alien lifeforms tinkering about? Probably not. I find it very unlikely that a super-intelligent alien life-form capable of inter-stellar travel would visit earth just to mutilate cattle and draw pictures in crop fields. If we had made first contact with an alien lifeform I'm confident there would be more than just fuzzy photographs and campfire stories to support such a contact.

Life-supporting planets are probably rare enough that two super-races would never come into contact with each other. We could be conceivably separated from another intelligent life-form by billions of years, having gone extinct long before we came into existence or vice versa.

Oh there are definitely other beings, probably more intelligent, in outer space. And i think that we will encounter them soon, if not in the next 200 years or so.

I do believe there are other beings out there as well as UFO's. Way back in the early 60's Barney and Betty Hill had an actual "hands on" experience with aliens. There is a book about it and also a film. It was titled "Interrupted Journey." and was written by John Fuller. It sure made a believer out of me and I never asked again!

It would more amazing if Earth was the only planet in the entire universe to support intelligent life forms. I mean, come on- what are the odds? Have UFO's visited us? Probably. Will we ever know for sure? Probably. Does their existence endanger our religious beliefs? NO. So why do people insist otherwise? Because they're morons.

I do believe you're correct in your thinking as it relates to UFO's and other people being out there somewhere. What I oppose is your question concerning some sort of endangering of our religious beliefs! What has that to do with the question of the debate and is that the only reason people might question UFO's or other beings? I should think that there are many more reasons a person might not believe in or fear UFO's! That certainly does not make them morons!

I believe UFO's and alien beings would frighten many people and that fact wouldn't make them morons either. I, for one, would welcome an encounter of such a phenomenon. In fact I envy Barney and Betty Hill's encounter with them so long ago. I kind of wish it were me instead! I say that in the comfort of my library here in Connecticut but it's an abstract thought! In reality, I'd probably run my legs off to get away from them...unless they were serving coffee and donuts!

So, if people believe in what you believe, I suppose you'd call them enlightened and those who don't, MORONS? Wow, what a fine and open mind you have.

Actually UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Objects, and that is truly what they are. Unidentified. So my answer is yes.

I guess the title should have been "do aliens exist?" or "are UFO's a hoax".

Are UFO's true...?

You are asking if an unidentified flying object exists. Uhhh, yea.

Oh my! Look, what is that? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Oh well, for my it's a UFO...

See.

yes and some can not be explained by any other means unless you have a open mind to the unknown. Let's hope that the goverment one day will admit they exsist in myy lifetime but I doubt it.

Assuming kmjnhh meant "are UFO's real?" And also guessing they mean from another planet and not the literal meaning, here's some facts;

There are about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars

While no one is sure how many planet each star has, it's safe to say there are more planet than stars.

The Universe is around 15 billion years old

To simply say, with no evidence to back up your opinion, "if UFOs are true than looks like you guys need some help their just stories to scare kids ok"

Is uh... childish don't you think?

i reckon there are things out there in space but we will never find out 100%

On all of these types of days there is always a few suicides, nothing more. If you believe on god then that doesn't mean that you have to believe in 2012. The way you beleive on things is your buisiness, you shouldn't be scared of anything. And if there were any signs of the world ending, scientist would have found out a while ago. And besides why would Jesus kill everyone if he had the message of love and life. I think people shouldn't be told what is giong to happen, people should find out for there own self. And sorry to say this, but Jesus is'nt the almighty, his real message to people was that he was a human being, and everyone can be like him, everyone can love their neighbors, everyone can spread effection and sympathy to the world. He would never take the life of another human being. And if anyone else believes that it won't be Jesus and it will be the comets that crash into the world or the world erupting, or whatever then do as much as you can good in your life before it happens. Pay some old bills, say sorry to people you have made fun of, give your mom and dad a hug, pet your dog, work out if your a bit overweight, go to a resteraunt that you have always wanted to go to but just don't tell me that, because i will be 16 and i want to see what i get for christmas. there may be something that happens like maybe the Yellowstone volcano will erupt. But there will be nothing that has to do with the end of the world.Yes the Mayan calender ends on that date ,but that doesn't mean that is when the world is going to end.I mean common people they could have been taken over by another colony before they could finish the calender. But we are not all going to die.We survived the ice age the end of the dinosaurs.there will be no tragedy that kills the human race.We have satellites that detects meteors and missiles to intercept them.well cant write anymore got to go bye. As to that no one is curtain. However, using reason and modern knowledge we know that the metier heading for earth is another couple hundred years away, all forms of deadly diseases known to man are not capable of wiping out humanity in the next 2 years, Yellowstone could erupt but that will not be the end of the world and the recession is easing up(haha). It's all in Gods hands but when observing history as a prolific tool, which is the whole point of history, one can conclude that we are HIGHLY LIKELY to still exist beyond the year 2012. Well in the bible it said that Jesus made a small tree die and he said that when this tree bears fruit my temple will be built and a few years later(could be a hundred or a thousand to him) the Antichrist will come and then a few years later I the lord, your savior will return. so right now the temple is being built and is soon going to finish. also instead of the world ending and many people believing that the world will end in 2012 there might be a lot of suicides because people think the world will end so they kill themselves so they won't go through the catastrophic event supposedly.I dont think the world will end. Ok lets look at it this way how manny times did they say the world was going to end ???? to manny times and gess what guys?? where still here???people who think the EARTH will END are nuts???Think about it? the calendor dont even say its going to end???It says ill be a BIG CHANGE but how do we know this for sure??like i said i belive that the earth will still be here and plus? I wont need to worry about the earth dieing its all fake.First of all, the world is only going to end when the sun burns out, which is like, what, 13 TRILLION years from now.Secondly, the only reason people believe the world will end in 2012 is because of the stupid movie inspired by the stupid Aztecs, whose world ended thousands of years ago. Their calendar ended there because some god exploded then or something. And lastly, there is no LOGICAL explanation for the world ending in 2012, so why should anyone have any reason to believe so?Thank you, and side with me in today's debate!

Apparently people don't know that the Mayans couldn't count higher than 2012. And the only thing they predicted right is that everyone would go nutso wacko freako because their calendar ended at 2012. True story.

i think its not possible life can not end ever..so need to worry ...but be ready for any kind of loss..prepare urself

What do they all have in common? Dates the world is supposed to end. All but one of them have passed and we're still here debating. Is there a chance? Sure. But the numbers, logic, reasoning, and common sense all say NO.

i think nthn going to happen i think they are just saying that to scare u to clean up the globe so global warming does`nt continue to affectNOPEit wont because maybe the mayans died out before they could finish the calendar, doesnt mea tat it will end you
