I agree with you. Removing the dam would cause more issues than there are right now. Removing the dam puts the water at risk of being contaminated by sediments that would hurt the environment and the consumers. With the dams removal the SF would have to find another place to get their water from, and with the limited water source we have it what be difficult for them to find a place to consume their water from.

I agree with you. There is no use of contaminated water eve if there is a lot of it. There are many places in the world that have this situation and do not have any other choice but tp use that dirty water. A lot of the contaminated water brings health issues and cuts people short from their lives.

I think water's quality is more important than water quantity. If we do not have the proper water then it will not be possible to maintain people alive nor our agriculture that feeds everyone. If we have a lot of water even if it is contaminated it will not serve with any purpose. Having water that is clean and safe to use, will help agriculture stay alive and process faster. Not only does bad quality water harm us but also our environment.

I agree with you. These two waters need be kept in mind that they do not work the same and need different treatments. If water is used jointly then, both water may be used up at a faster rate than usual and will not be available to when we actually need it.

I do not think surface water and ground water should be managed jointly. Ground water is at a point were it needs time to get to a level that would allow usage in case of any drought emergency. Also the surface water may bring salinity and contaminate ground water making both waters less useful. Another thing is that managing both waters can be pricey. New facilities may have to be built in order to keep all this water.

I agree with you. Humans cannot go without water for many days and if we continue to not plan then water will no longer be a resource to human beings. We need to start changing the way we emphasize the environment.

1 point

I think the environment should get equal emphasis as humans do. Us humans depend on the water and the environment we live in. Not paying attention to the environment will only force the planet to start dying. Also the environment will add on to global warming if we do not change the way it is being treated.

I agree, I think many would benefit from the system of water distribution the state currently has. I think a lot of this involves money therefore NorCal will most likely keep providing water the the southern area of California. I also agree that the state was whole should help itself out because a divided state will not be able to make many important decision.

1 point

Yes, I think NorCal should continue providing water to SoCal because both parts of the state would benefit from it. Like many have mentioned SoCal has a bigger population and it would bring in a lot of the economic factors. NorCal has water that SoCal can use, water that is cleaner and would not cause harm to any of the SoCal residents. Also the water is being used for crops that grown in SoCal and that is distribute it all over California.

I agree with you, our planet needs to be taken care of better because we only get one and the way humans are treating this planet will forced Earth to start dying down. I think putting regulations to the problem may not solve the problem at once but will give Earth the time to recuperate.
