I don't think we are the most hated. If that were true why would so many people still be trying to move to the USA? I do think that the rest of the world thinks we can be assholes because many Americans believe in American exceptionalism. That it is our duty to save the world from evil totalitarian regimes. It keeps us in a state of perpetual war and we have committed some terrible actions around the world in the name of this belief. I think that internationally we are a mixed bag . I think that one on one we are not so hated.
