KattyChris yes wiki people can change your work but that a good thing to see people different views and options.

But according to Lev Vygotsky in his Social Learning Theories he states:

Social learning theories help us to understand how people learn in social contexts (learn from each other) and informs us on how we, as teachers, construct active learning communities. So i think its a learning process.

In essence, Vygotsky recognizes that learning always occurs and cannot be separated from a social context. Consequently, instructional strategies that promote the distribution of expert knowledge where students collaboratively work together to conduct research, share their results, and perform or produce a final project, help to create a collaborative community of learners.

What is a wiki?

A wiki is a website or database developed collaboratively by a community of users, allowing any user to ass and edit content

Both blogs and wikis allows users to comment on the content and most likely to be anonymous entries

In closing for me both blogs and wikis share some common traits. These are:

1. They are both websites

2. They are both users - generated (the content of blogs and wikis is created by the actual user who is using the blogs and wikis

in a wiki the focus is the content produced not the individual authors

a great point to note in a wiki is that the discussion/comment is separated from the wiki content

using a blog only the blogger can edit his or her post there is also no automatic saving function of previous post versions

in a Blog it is written in reverse chronological order therefore the newest entry is always at the top

what concerns sherman people in education should be proud to share their knowledge to the public. Sharing is very very keen where persons can learn from each other

2 points

Wiki there are a wide range of open source software wiki's to choose from therefore no licensing cost for installation or to any institute is given
