I totally agree with you because Social Darwinism and Darwinism is like natural selection which are very similar.

I disagree with you because it shows clearly that Darwin's concepts were related to eugenics. Because Darwin did believe that the best could only survive and that could lead to controlled breeding which is eugenics.

Yes, i do think this happened as well because people all wanted to look the same and when they saw the colored people, they thought they weren't human

Social Darwinism is practically only the strongest should be able to live and survive, while the weak and the unfit should die. Darwinism is a theory of organic evolution claiming that new species arise and are perpetuated by natural selection. The similarities is that they both have a natural selection type of thing. They both have chosen species to survive and to die off. The differences is that Darwinism is used by natural selection, meaning from characteristics and traits, you are able to survive or not survive. Social Darwinism is where you see their physical traits to determine if they would survive.

I agree that Darwin's concepts did contribute to eugenics. Eugenics is the science of improving a human population by controlled breeding to increase the occurrence of desirable heritable characteristics. Darwin did believe this because he said that you are naturally selected to survive and if you breed with two strong survivors, you'll get an even stronger survivor. So, I do think Darwin had to do a lot with eugenics.

During this time, the slavery was taking place. These concepts could affect Darwin's work because at this time many were dying from germs and living and working in unhealthy places. These were the people he would consider not naturally selected because they weren't strong enough to survive. Many influenced Darwin, such as Thomas Malthus, Charles Lyell, Georges Cuvier, and Alfred Russell Wallace. Darwin influenced Francis Galton, Margaret Sanger, Adolf Hitler, Theodore Roosevelt, Herbert Spencer, Ernst Haeckel, David Lloyd George, and Gregor Johann Mendel.
