Video games do not give a violent mentality. If a child’s motive is to be violent, that is their fault, not the video games they play. If you want someone to blame, blame the parents. It is their fault for not informing and teaching their kids that things that are in the gaming system is not reality.
When buying a game for your child, there is a rating on the game. The Entertainment Software Rating Board system is designed to give parents the information they need to evaluate before making that purchase. “The ratings are not meant to recommend which games consumers should buy or rent or to serve as the only basis for choosing a product. Rather, parents should use the ESRB ratings in their own taste and standards and their individual knowledge about what’s best for their children.”
