sounds easy but this is not the case in secular europe. where the radical liberal agenda went so far as to make the thief the victim and beneficiary of societies pity, even financial reward and support. the honest and decent hard worker gets far less support finacial or morally. this ends up being the case for 2 main reasons, its impossible for a moral line to be drawn , at what point do we say, enough is enough, regardless of how poor you are or your upbringing, stelaing is wrong and you need to go to prison. the second reason is democracy alone isnt enpough. as millions of criminals that receive pity and benefits will of course vote for the radical liberals. which in turn encourage the radical liberals to continue with this agenda to find more votes and these criminals will grow in number and bad deeds. that is a downward spiral, with no one capable to stating right from wrong. meanwhile the silent law abiding majority suffer.

Glad you finally admit the enormous and almost infinite positives and benefits of Christs teachings. I applaud your clibdown, it is good not to thinki with ones ego but to look at the bigger picture and take into account the benefits of Christianity. But Why didnt you mention the positives in the first place and offer some constructive balance to your original posts?why did do you initially choose the cowards route of over-exentuating the negative and not mentioning the 2000 years of positives to be derided from Christ. What you did was what mainstream radical atheists and attention seekrs usually do in the UK and go for the cheap laugh and the obvious points. However clearly uouve seen the error of your ways. Morality is not a scientific subject with a specific formulaic equation. It is a matter of balancing right from wrong or in many cases simply deciding on the best way forward. This is very often fraught with difficulty. Imagine a president deciding do we go to war when millions may die or do we avoid war, when millions may starve. To pontificate on moral decisions is something we need to encourage. Instead of cheap laughs and cheap shots we need to encourage moral debate. The church is a great place to do this. I implore the churches to open their doors and encourage more people in. they have the opportunity to serve a huge need for our communities , to strengthen our unity, to share our ideas, discuss our beliefs, also to strengthen our spiritual resolve and even help us find practical solutions to our problems. Take old russia, the churches played an enormous part in saving russia and defeating the nazis. as the nazis smashed through russia whilst also running their 1000 bomber raids over the UK. they got complacent and arrogant. they attacked siberia too. at this time they were just a few miles from oscow. the russian people were desperate. 25 million russians died in world war 2. a staggering figure. so they filled their churches. everyone went to church to decide what to do. in the end they sang the gospels, they fed and clothed the poorest, they shared ideas and plans to confront the heinous evil of hitlers invading army. they read the parables, they tried to deride the moral meanings from these stories and Christs teaching. In the end they decided that everyone , women and children too. would all go out and dig ditches all across the cities boundaries, check out the amazing images

they toiled day and night in the freezing weather and lashing rain and snow. until finally they got their just rewards. the nazi machine got stuck in the ditches, they couldnt advance and suddenly their arrogance came home to roost. unprepared for the delays and ditches they werent dressed for a moscow winter and soon froze to death. meanwhile is siberia , stalin kept his arms under wraps until this moment. they attacked in the snow under white camouflage, the nazis literally couldnt see them coming.it was carnage.

now no one sane wants war, but the russian people acted purely out of self defence, it was wholy moral , smart and practical. but without the churches they would never have found the moral, physical, spiritual sustencance or unity of purpose to work together in such a magnificent way.

this is what Christs teachings cna achieve.

to all those who feel somehow Christ left them out, I say go back again and re read all that he said. he was a great man. From my years in the church I was never taught anything about hate or bigotry, purely love. perhaps just perhaps my churches interpretations were idealistic, perhaps they hand picked the best parts and let the bad parts go. personally I see nothing wrong with that. There is much to be learned sometimes even from people you dont like or agree with. we can of course learn and develop a sense of shared morality as we evolve. But I dont believe in the word change, as if we can abolish all the good that weve learned. Human progress relies on evolution and growth. sadly Christianity has been hijacked like so many other fascinating subjects by the hysterical british press. every debate is debased and reduced the the lowest common denominator. if a priest and a cardinal were discussing the meaning of life, the only thing that would get the headline is what hats they wore. we are constantly distraced and reduced by the tacky the petty and banal. Let us have greater aspirations than that.

and what if society sees your judgements as wrong , immoral or illegal?

I find it hugely ironic that those who hate Jesus, claim to somehow have a greatrer level of intellect and greater morality. Yet they express their views in such a hateful bitter nasty way. also in a very narrow minded and frankly unintelligent illogical way. Billions have been inspired by Jesus, billions, tens of thousands of Churches have been built in his name. Billion of people get spiritual strength and moral fortitude from Jesus. You decide to dwell purely on the bad side of Christianity. Such as come corrupt individuals in the Church. Well humans are imperfect in all walks of life. and power does corrupt in all areas of life. However this in no way besmirches the teachings of Jesus. Im not saying you have to follow him or even get inspired by him. But to ignore his enormous influence is simply ignorant. Id also add instead of over dwelling on the minority of bad people in churches, why not look at the billions of pounds raised for the poorest people on earth, the thousands of missionaries like Terry waite, the feeding of the starving across the third world. The Christian church has been a backbone of strength and identity for the western world. I dont doubt some use and corrupt the good words of Jesus for their own ends. Take George Bush. But dont confuse the message with the messenger. Jesus taught to heal the sick, to protect the weak against the tyranny of the rich kings. His lessons of redemption and forgiveness were revolutionary concepts, they still are in many ways. yes I believe we can evolve and grow and improve as a society. But to throw out Christs teachings would be self destructive and frankly idiotic. His teachings, just as the teachings of our beloved teachers and parents always hold an infinite value, regardless of the fickleness of fashions

The religion is Christ, its not anything else. Its purely about Jesus Christ.

What part of Christs words do you find questionable? I must have missed it?

whats dishonourable about Jesus? Have I missed something? Honour thy mother and father, heal the blind, help the meek inherit the earth , forgiveness, redemption etc

How do you conclude Jesus wasnt proud and honourable? or are you simply seeking attention?

Christianity doesnt stop us advancing. in fact most great scientists were Christians and they were smart enough to realise the 2 can easily live side by side.

what predictable unoriginal poison. I presume youd rather entrust politicians to decide your moral code?clearly you have no personal identity and get all your opinions from anti Christian media personalities, how sad.

who said all the stories in the Bible were good ones? These are parables and yes there is loads of proof of most f the scriptures, please try and do research befre spouting the unsubstantiated anti Christian bile of the radical atheist celebrities. The entire basis of western culture is built on Jesus Christ and his teachings. Thousands of our laws come through his teachings. What part of what Jesus said and did do you find so hatefuL?
