How do any of you know so much about Turkey , you ever been there ?

Probably not. I hate it when Americans talk about Turkish ''DEMOCRACY'' . Its turning into an Iran , more religious, more tolitarian . Turkey is a terrible example, they jail hundreds of people for no reason, no free speech, no nothing .

Islam is an oppressive religion, and I fear for my Turkey . Instead of spending money on health care, the Turkish Government funds the building of more mosques! They fund religious school - once illegal but now its ''fine'' . They ignore bans on hijabs in schools, etc.

THE AKP GOVERNMENT IS DESTROYING THE CONSTITUTION OF TURKEY AND WHAT IT STANDS FOR- A FREE, EXTREMELY SECULAR STATE. OH FOR GODS SAKES, MOST RESTAURANTS ARE SHUT DOWN IN ANKARA BECAUSE THEY SELL ALCOHOL . The governments excuse of these restaurants - ''Bad Location'' .

It is not illegal to speak Kurdish, in Turkey , I see it everywhere. THEYRE THE ONES WHO OPPRESS US . THE TURKISH CONGRESS HAS LOADS OF KURDS WHO SHINE PRO-PKK PROPAGANDA , and the President supports them . America supports the Kurdish Terrorists as well ....

But yes, Turkey is an increasingly tolitarian state . Free speech, etc are things of the past. And they say Turkey is a fricking model for the Middle East- my ass .

The Kurds, deface Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and his ideals for Turkey . We all lived peacefully until the late 70s, some asshole named Abdullah Ocalan started this by creating the terrorist organization PKK .... THATS HOW IT STARTED.

You all saw what happened in Japan, Chernobyl, etc , and now I see the Canadian and American media outlets saying that their nuclear plants are supposedly ''safe'' - thats bull .

If you are for nuclear power, why is it when Iran starts building nuclear reactors - you start to go mad, stating that it's WW3 !
