I disagree to your point that advancement of technology causes people to become addicted to playing games and isolating themselves from others. People can play games when they are stressed, tired or lonely. Thus, laying computer or hand phone games has become a form of entertainment or relaxation to occupy the individual or to help less release their stress.

No doubt the advancement of technology may cause people to be addicted, but this is only applicable to those who do not have self-control and discipline. Regarding this, there are many time management courses or counseling sessions held in schools or community clubs to help these people with their addiction in games. besides, u have stated in your argument that people tend to sacrifice their sleep in order to play more games. I strongly disagree with this statement as not all people sleep late because they stay up to play games. They may sleep late due to various reasons such as being stressed up in school or at work, or having financial problems so that they are not able to get to sleep or having a irregular diet which leads to their health deteriorating.

Besides,, your evidence is definitely not reliable as the definition of the term 'teenager', as of dictionary.com, is a young adult between the age of 13 and 19. In your evidence, it is stated as '25 year old teenager' and thus is not suitable in this context. Also, you stated that, '. From recent article, a 25 year old teenager died out of the blue due to poor health-sleeping late at night and not exercising.' This does not state that he died due to playing too much of computer games. Thus, this statement does not relate to your topic of advancements of technology lets them be addicted to the games, causing death. Other reasons like not having a regular diet can also lead to death.

All in all, your point and your evidence does not strongly support that technology is more of a bane than a boon to society.

Yes, i agree that technology is more of a boon than a bane to society. Technology has improved drastically over the past few years. There are many types of technology such as technology in the medical field, communication field and many more. Technology has indeed brought about many advantages to us, especially in the communication field.

In the past, the only form of communication was mail delivery. As compared to how we communicate these days, be it by messaging, email or by phone, it is much slower, inefficient and also unreliable as letters my be misplaced or lost in the process of delivery. Mails sent out take very long to reach the recipient. Thus, for urgent matters, the message would not be able to be conveyed quickly. As technology has been improving, the cost of communication has also been decreasing.

For example, nowadays, when communicating with technology, you can deliver data to your customer or employee anywhere, through your smart phones or tabs. In addition, with the high quality digital still and cameras available, you can provide pictures or video very quickly and in very high resolutions. Also, with technology, you can have live video conversations with many people in many countries using simple web-cams, and a teleconference service. This is definitely much more efficient and less expensive than flying all involved parties to a central location to meet.

Hence, i strongly agree that technology is more of a boon than a bane to society as it has brought about efficiency, reliability, and also convenience to the society.
