I'm surrounded by socialists every day and for the most part they're good people. In my opinion so is Obama. But he IS NOT a socialist.

In a perfect world anarchism would work. In the real world, under the right circumstances, socialism would work. Today capitalism seems to work. Or so they keep telling us anyway...

Homo sapiens are not the only creature doing drugs. The thing is: we have always done this and we always will. It's pointless arguing it's stupid. Anyone doing so will have the whole of human history against them.

The abolishment of the death penalty is considered an advancement in most societies. I don't think there's any murders so cold, calculated and heartless as those commited by the state in countries where this is still the practice.

I can understand the need for revenge but this gets us nowhere.

A question more suitable for tents and caves in a darker age. Luckily we now have more than one book to give us guidance. Time to move on.
