Not your pet's real name, but the completely stupid-sounding nickname you say in a baby-talk voice when your animal companion does something particularly endearing.
Admit it, pet people -- you totally do this.
In 1971, voters in St. Louis, MO approved a property tax increase to fund the city's "Zoo-Museum District" (ZMD), so that the city's art museum and zoo could offer free admission to all members of the public and could further expand their facilities. The ZMD now includes the city's science center, botanical gardens, and state history museum. All are supported primarily through tax monies and with the exception of the gardens, admission to these institutions is free to the public. The tax assessment ranges from 3 to 6 cents per $100 of property value (between $90 and $180 per year for the owner of a $300,000 home). Other cities have since enacted similar plans using either a property tax, or a 1/10 of 1% sales tax increase (one penny per $10) to fund their art museums, zoos, science centers, performing arts centers, and other major artistic or cultural attractions.
Would you be willing to support such a sales or property tax increase in your city to fund your local art museum, zoo, and/or science center so that these organizations could offer free admission to everyone?
Should the government budget more money towards developing our space program?

Both major U.S. political parties have brought forth some highly-qualified leaders as contenders for major political office. These two weren't among them.
Today I found myself on the freeway stuck behind a minivan with one of those "WWJD" stickers (along with one of "truth" eating "Darwin" and some other equally colorful 'Christian' slogans) . . . and I thought to myself, "What Jesus would do is go hang out in the desert bein' a barefoot hippie who preaches peace and love to a bunch of freaky outcasts (much like he was said to do in life), and not go driving a smog-belching minivan covered in anti-Darwinism stickers around the city in rush hour" . . . which then led me to the thought, "he'd probably be hanging out at Burning Man."
