If you side with free it means that you would rather be independent, and not have to rely on anyone to protect your self. if you side with secure it means that you would rather sacrifice some of your liberties to be safe. For example, would rather own your own gun and protect yourself with that or would you rather have the police take care of the threat? personally i would rather be free and independent
Is keeping the truth hidden a lie?For example, if your brother stole the candy, and you mom asks everybody in the family who stole the candy and you dont answer even though you know it was your brother. is that lying?
CD is full of attackers and haters not wanting to debate?
Personally after looking at a few debates and arguments a lot of people on this site dont know what they are talking about and using opinions instead of facts or arguments. In addition, people resort to caps and profanity to prove they are correct. Furthermore, there are so many ad hominum attacks its not even funny any more... CD members need to actually debate instead of attacking one another.
Questions to consider: Is a democracy tyrannical? And if so how? Should the majority rule? Is a democracy Just? If so then how? What are better forms of government if democracy is tyrannical?
For those of you who do not know, Guantanamo bay is located in cuba and it is a U.S. prison for being suspected or convicted for terrorism. The inmates are brutally tortured and it is legal because they are not citizens of the United States and they are not on American soil. Some topics what i would recommend you include in your argument: America's reputation, prisoners rights, effectiveness, and possible solutions if you want it close it.
In light of the Trump becoming the President elect what do you guys think of Obama's presidency? Was Obama care a success? How did he tackle foreign and domestic issues? Did he keep American citizens interests in his policies?
I have no position on this particular conflict, but I was wondering what everybody else thought about this issue. When forming your arguments use facts instead of emotions and be prepared for rebuttal. Are you pro palestine? If so why? Pro Israel? If so why? Who should own the land? What is the role of the United States in dealing with foreign conflicts?
