Does it really matter what you know about a subject? Look at the presidential debates as an example. I doubt neither Obama nor McCain knew what they were talking about, they were just good at making it sound intelligent. I'm finding that sometimes, even on CreateDebate, one needs not to know much, but be able to take their limited knowledge, and twist it in a way that mkes it sound intelligent. You really only need to be good at twisting the facts.
Under our current version of democracy, nothing truly beneficial to the world ever gets done. The back to the moon program has been cancelled, humanitarian efforts are failing, and the government has spent more money on wars than education. I propse the world be governed by a small group of people, divided into subgroups, with each specializing in 1 part of what is needed to run a nation. A council of reviewers will also exist, making sure that the head of government listens to a dictated set of rules. Many intricate checks and balances will also exist--what will not is the need for elections to decide the heads of government.
