For example, is it of any important that the sun rises at the constellation of Pisces during the month of Pisces? I ask this because, in reality, this is not what happens, and I'd like to know what astrologers/enthusiasts think about it. The sun is offset by one constellation, which means it rises alongside Aquarius during the month of Pisces. Two thousand years ago, when astrology was invented, it did rise alongside Pisces, but hasn't been doing so for over a thousand years (this can easily be observed in an astronomy tool/app called *Stellarium*). So the question is just that, is it important now, or was it important in the past, and if so, how do/did astrologers account for this?PS: I decided to make this a For/Against debate just to hopefully measure more easily where opinions will lean towards, but it's the discussion I'll be more interested in.I'm not interested in debunking astrology here. I'm only interested in learning what importance this may have to astrology (and why), and what astrologers or astrology enthusiasts think about it (or anyone else who knows something useful about it).
(This is not meant to inflame. I'm interested in refutations to this idea)I posit that the only fundamental difference between moderates and fundamentalists and extremists is the specific ideas within their ideology that they accept or reject, which affect and condition their rationale, and, in turn, their actions. By that same reasoning, a moderate is a potential extremist, if exposed long enough to a smart enough preacher, since the basic common premises are already accepted by the moderate.
Just so there's no confusion, the question is not limited to pets, as I'm sure many people would think of their cat before thinking of a vulture in a desert when associating pisces to it. :)
So when I say animals, I'm talking about everyone of them. Lions, pythons, shrimps, alligators, elephants, spiders, birds, shrews, dogs, sharks, cats, iguanas, blue footed boobies, badgers, ants, bears, penguins, bees...
I challange creationists to watch these 36 videos (if you haven't already) without giving up at some point (I'm not asking you to see them all in one go, though), and I challange creationists to try to understand what creationism is really about. I challange creationists to accept what has been confirmed through rigorous tests in a zero tolerance context (where forging of information leads to lawsuits and severe penalties), I challange creationists to open their eyes.
(Why do people laugh at creationists?)
Since creationism is majorly made of people who don't know anything they're talking about, and who too often contradict each other and themselves, what makes you still "believe" in it?
I strongly recomend these videos to everyone, even evolutionists, mainly because they show you how "evil" criationism is being to our society, especially to our young children, by brainwashing people, distorting information in media broadcasts (with forged proof sometimes), raising money from the delusioned people, slowing and sabotaging science advancements and knowledge, etc
I know asterisks create bold text, but that's about it. How do we make italics, underlined, line breaks, etc?
Anyone knows?
(not much of a debate, but this isn't in the FAQ... had no other choice but to ask around here)
