Hello, Starchild here.
Recently, I had the chance to talk to an Atheist and he asked a rather interesting question. "Is there an objective purpose to your life or do you make up your own?". I didn't know how to answer at first, so I am bringing the question here. Is there any objective purpose to life? Or do we give it purpose?
Hello, Starchild here.
As you all may know recently gay marriage has expanded and now I believe that gays may now have the right to get married in all 50 states. So it got me thinking. Why do people get married? I understand it's a union between two lovers (at least I hope so), but the loves should remain the same before and after the marriage. So, what purpose is there to marriage?
Hello, Starchild here.
A topic was recently brought up about America's efforts to quell ISIS. Some were saying that ISIS poses no threat to America and we should remain focused on matters that are currently affecting Americanss. Others were saying that ISIS poses a threat to America and the ISIS brigade is spreading rapidly and needs to be immediately quelled. What is your opinion on the matter?
Hello, Starchild here.
There was a discussion held recently that I participated in. Basically, one side believed that morals are constructed by evolution. Certain environment warrant different morals and the organism will hold moral in accordance to what it has be predisposed to by genetics and passed down traits. The other side believes that morals are products of thought. As humans we can use our brains to think outside of our genetic traits and focus on what benefits themselves and humanity. So, what do you think? If you need me to clarify something or if you have something interesting to add please comment below.
What is your personal perspective/opinion on crossdressing?
Hello, Starchild here!
Not to long ago we had a family gathering to celebrate the birth of a new child. One of the family members (a male) happens to enjoy crossdressing. He has always looked very feminine and could easily be mistaken for a female. Vocal wise maybe not so much, but with effort he could pull it off, and so on that day he did. Many of the parents and adults were appalled. Some didn't mind and told him he looked great. It got me wondering how the crossdresser feels and what people's views are regarding crossdressing. So, what is you perspective/opinion on crossdressing?
Hello, Starchild here.
What defines what is moral? Would it be a god of sorts? A popular opinion or viewpoint? Most beneficial to humanity? Evolutionary progress and continuation? I'm curious to read some of the responses.
Hello, Starchild here.
I was wanting to get an opinion on the belief that God is obligated to help/save everybody. For example, if a person is dying of cancer is God obligated to save them? Or if a person is going to get raped (sorry if this offends anyone I just hear this instance being brought up fairly often) should God save that person? Some say yes if he is an omnibenevolent, omnipotent, and all-loving god then he should help everyone. On the other hand some say that God helps those who seek him and even then God helps those he wants to help. What do you think?
If you had to choose a religion to follow what would it be?
I'm rather curious to see what religions people favor over others. I would normally stick with my religion, but for the purpose of the debate I will select anotber one. If you don't adhere to any religions feel free to select any of them, but for those who do have a religion select a religion that is different from the one you currently adhere to.
For some time now I have been thinking about the events that have lead up to 9/11. I can't seem to find an entirely legitimate source that explains what America wanted with the Middle East.
Do you think 9/11 is America's fault?
Hello, Starchild123 here.
I want to present you guys with a news story I found on youtube. The stroy is primarily about the negative way women are portrayed in video games. I would like for you all to watch the video and give a response to it explaining why you agree or disagree with the video or addressing the arguments presented in the video. The video is below.
What are your opinions on the video?
I was wondering if space and time go hand in hand. Like they both must exist with each other. Like if space is gone you have no time and if time is gone you have no space. Is that true?
I'm just wondering, for those who do not have a religion or are apart of another religion other than Christianity, is there a way that you would join Christianity? Is there something not there that you are looking for? Do you not like parts of the bible or have unanswered questions? I would like to know if anyone is willing to share information. All are welcomed to post.
