I hear all the time about the "evil" credit card companies, yet I don't hear much about the lack of responsibility people should have when using credit cards. You are using money you do not have (in most cases) to purchase something, yet most people seem to think that they can spend their way to a $50k debt and that the comapanies will just let them go off easy. Personal responsibility just seems to have been taken to the backburner these days. Of course, the credit card companies do things that seem unfair as well, but I don't see why people that get themselves into large amounts of debt through irresponsibility shouldn't be put under the same amount of scrutiny that credit card companies do.
Its the 21st century. You should be able to go up to someone and ask them out, regardless of your gender. Most guys (myself included) would be extremely flattered these days if a girl were to come up and ask us out, and it would be almost impossible to turn them down. Chivalry doesn't have to die just because a girl asks a guy out.
With both in their prime, who would win in a martial arts match? I am guessing most people would pick Chuck due to his popularity, but might I remind you that Van Damme was 18-1 with all 18 being knockouts before he switched over to movies (lost to Partick Teugels). Chuck's record was 183-10-2, so if you counted Van Damme's record to 195 matches, he would be 185-10, pretty much dead even with Chuck.

They are both stranded in the Amazon Rainforest and it is June. They are only given a piece of flint, a hunting knife, and a canteen. Now, who would survive longer, given that they do not find any people for lets say 10 years?

Why is it that when someone gets a Ph.D. from Harvard for example, and another gets a Ph.D. from a lesser known university, the Harvard grad gets the preferential treatment as far as jobs and reputation go? They are both the same degree, so why aren't they treated equally in America? I mean, most people don't have $150k lying around to get a Harvard degree..
I came across the cone of learning chart as I was reading a blog today and it made me wonder: Why do school systems promote reading as an important source for learning if after two weeks you only remember 10% of what you read? Just type in 'cone of learning' on Google if you haven't seen it before, it's by Edgar Dale.

....should be mandatory in public middle schools and high schools. I believe every student should have experience getting up in front of a group of people and presenting something. It will not only help out their self confidence, but will help them to become leaders in the workplace as well. I went through middle and high school and only presented something twice, which I feel did not help to prepare me enough for not only college and grad school, but also in the job category as well. What do you think?
