Extremely recently, the twinkie-making company of Hostess, "announced it is asking a federal bankruptcy court for permission to close it's operations."   http://www.businessinsider.com/18500-hostess-workers-out-of-jobs-2012-11   They claim that this decision was a result of a critical blow delivered to them by striking bakers Union in their workforce, resulting in the liquidation of their assets and the loss of more then 18 thousand jobs.   While it is no question that such a huge loss of job numbers is a bad thing, the question is, did Hostess have it coming, causing their Unions to supposedly destroy their company? As this may come to alarm or upset many people, it may also come to fascinate or excite just as many others. Over the course of five years, the gaming company of Bioware has expanded into the videogame market an action-oriented, space odyssey RPG trademarked as 'Mass Effect'. Hundreds of thousands of gamers grew under the story elements of the series very greatly, the storytelling overall of the franchise being accepted as best in the business by purpose of 1. Character, 2. Theme, 3. Setting, 4. Uniqueness.   After close to, or even after more then, 100 hours of gameplay and emotional attatchment put into the trilogy spanning a very intense, engrossing story of a human soldier, tens, perhaps even hundreds, of thousands of Mass Effect players have spun themselves into a cultural outcry against the ending of the Mass Effect 3, the last game in the epic trilogy. Together, many of them have not only shown a great many complaints to Bioware, and Bioware's parent company Electronic Arts, but they have banded together in a desperate attempt to salvage, literally, the last 10 minutes of Mass Effect 3 and have created for them an ending to the story that befits their likings.   The contraversy surrounding the endings is not cut and dry. It is blunt and apparent. In the last perhaps half an hour of the series' story, it is argued that not only are dozens, maybe hundreds, of plot holes exhibited in the plot, but as an added bonus, there is no true choice in how the game ends. It has been quoted many times by Bioware developers that the ending to this franchise would consist of choice variation that had more meaning beyond 'A, B, and C,' but it is argued by the 'retakers' that the ending is nothing but and only an 'A, B, and C,' ending. It is infuriatingly been described as a flat out lie on part of Bioware, nearly on par with false advertising which could result in a class-action lawsuit.   Lesser, but still important, underlying complaints on the ending include: Lack of relationship resolution, lack of sensible explanations, very inappropriate ending themes, lack of setting resolution, etc.   It has even been said by many that the company Electronic Arts won the Golden Poo award from The Consumerist magazine by mere lack of care they are claimed to have for their customers feelings in relation to their communication with the Mass Effect fans that advocate a completely different ending be made.   Thoughts, CreateDebaters?

Many scientists, headed by Ray Kurzweil, have a common agreement upon the idea that one day, our technological advancement will cause things such as agelessness, world peace, and technological utopia. At the same time, many other scientists argue against this notion, claiming it to have no basis in math and is only mere psudo-science gobldygook. Both sides have powerful arguments and supportive evidence, but what I want to know is what you all think off the top of your head about this.

Apparently, there's an organization of masked crime fighters running around the streets of their residential cities all around the United States and some of Canada. They don't actually tend to take a vigilanteeism stance when approaching this issue, and instead tend to fight public apathy and suffering.   Nonetheless, they are people running around in costumes. So the question now is, what do you think about it? Are they crazy people who are going to get themselves hurt? Or are they just some eccentric nice guys who were inspired to help out?

Studies by the United Health Organization show that the rise of the product known as 'electronic cigarettes' have supposedly learned a few things about the business of niccotine in general. For one thing, the introduction of this product into society has made the number of people who can/have quit smoking skyrocket by around 300%. For another thing, a few doctors believe from studies that there is virtually no more chance of an electronic smoker getting cancer then a non-smoker entirely, leading the medical community to slowly come to the possible conclusion that the addicting drug niccotine itself does not kill people. So, what is your stance? Is this new trend in smoking going to save millions of lives from the terror of cigarette-caused cancer? Or... Is this new trend just a marketing ploy to continue killing people like normal with cigarettes, except without people actually believe it was the cigarettes fault?

Perhaps one of the most supposedly cooky, contraversial origin theories in the scientific community, Ancient Astronaut Theory supports that idea that extraterrestrial beings uplifted human society thousands and years ago during the evolution of man. I'm going out on a limb and am going to assume that you all have a basic understanding of computers. With that said, imagine two computers, one slightly old and one brand new, and an external memory device (like stick memory that you put into a USB port and store little things). Now, imagine that one of the computers is totally blank in every way: no programs, no information, no operating system, no nothing. The other computer, on the other hand, has a huge assorment of data on it, 60 to 90 years of data or so. So much data that you had to delete some of it to make room for more important data. Now imagine moving every single last bit of information and processing, making it blank, into the external memory unit, and then moving all that data from the external memory unit into the originally blank computer of the two computers, making the formerly blank, new computer half full with all the information and operating performance of the old computer. Makes sense to a point, right? Well, in the future, what about doing this with human brains? When somebody comes to the end of their life, but they want to live on, so, via a computerized storage device, have all of their personality, memory, brain functionality, everything that makes them *them*... and it all put into another body through the movement of data streams. Sounds cool, right? But there's a catch: Does the moving of all that data from your old body to your new one... also move your soul? Do you actually die, just having make a copy of yourself? Or do you literally black out, like when you die, except you then suddenly open your eyes in a body that isn't your old one? What do you think would really happen to the person's SOUL when they attempt to transcend death in this manner? I want to hear all of your opinions in full.

Pansexuality is beyond the mainstream, modern ideals of sexuality. It the alpha, the omega, the delta... it is beyond hetereosexuality and homosexuality. Beyond bisexuality and transgenderism. Pansexuality refers to the potential of a person to feel romantic love, sexual attraction, and sexual desires towards any and all people of any and all gender identity and physiological sex. This is not bisexuality. This is far more then that. This has no consideration for the gender binary. This has no consideration for traditional sexual orientation... including homosexuality! It bypasses all tradition, religious or not. It is a purely modern ideal, for it goes around the evolved truth that there are only a set number of genders... but among mankind, among us animals of culture and psychology and philosophy, there are many individuals who don't identify with any gender in particular, no matter how they were born or how they think. This is beyond the debate over homosexuality. This is pansexuality, something many people are not even aware of existing. A sexuality that sits above all sexuality for human beings, even bisexuality. Nobody in the eyes of a pansexual is off the menu of potential loving mates, no matter whom you are... even if you aren't a man or a women. Even if you're confused. Even if you're totally aware! But the question now is... based on all perspectives possible - gay, straight, bi, trans, atheist, religious, scientific, spiritual - how should this ideal, this pansexuality, be regarded? What do YOU think about it? Awesome... or... abominable?

Sometimes I get fairly tired in the eyes and ears when I keep hearing such and such random place about women working in the home and men out on the field. Culture in the United States is still fairly sexist in the sense that many, maybe even most, people expect women to be weaker, more emotionaly then men and the caretakers of children, while men are stronger, more stoic then women and the providerers for children. Why does such a cultural prerequisite still subliminally exist? What are we, cavepeople? Is it totally impossible for these roles to be totally switched, and is it wrong? What do you think?

Honestly, I believe in both. I'm a superstition hog, merely because it's exicting and I cannot deny some of the evidence I have seen in the countless documentaries I've watched. What I want to know is, between these two, what do YOU all believe about them?

I bit the inside of my mouth, except it wasn't a minor bite. I ripped and rended and stretched and bit down on the flesh in the backside of my inner left cheek in one, single, giant chewing accident. The bleeding only recently stopped after stuffing cotton in my mouth for an hour. This hasn't happened in a long while, and I just remembered how I've never really known how to treat an inner mouth injury. Any tips on how to heal this properly? I don't want my mouth to be swollen and practically un-usable for a week. And for fun, how about you guys give your own personal RIDICULOUS injury stories? Try not to be too depressing about it, unless you can make even the serious ones cheery. Try to keep the weird and funny though, like ripped mouth or athlete's foot in your ear.
