I disagree with what other people have said about taxes. I think we should have taxes because they help pay for all the services the government provides us with. We also need to have emergency systems because what if your house was burnt down by someone. The police would not be able to arrest them and the fire department would not come and put out the fire in your house. Also not having a school system is not a plus because if we could not read or write. So what is the point of living when you can't do anything because your not educated.

I think we should have a government because they provide us with benefits and services. First the government provides us with public transportation. For example, imagine trying to go to Boston, MA but you don't have a car, you would ride a train. When you go on field trips you take a school bus. Basically if we did not have a government, we would not have any public transportation. Another example of a benefit that the government provides us would be good road conditions. Now you would think that would not be a benefit, but imagine the roadways in bad condition with loads of potholes. Your car would get very damaged, so if the government did not have a contract with an infrastructure company our roads would be in bad condition. Lastly, one more example of a service the government provides us is garbage pick-up. If the government did not have a contract with a garbage company, then all our garbage would be piling up out of our garbage cans. Overall, the government help us us in many ways with public transportation and contracts to help keep our country clean.
