Now.. This is not what I term stupid, but supremely annoying!

Existence is nothing beyond your conscious state of being, of recognition or realization of the passage of time. It is merely the abstract experience that one indulgences in that is existence. There is nothing much more than that.

OMG! Congratulations.. Please post her picture here. we would love to see the new addition!

I'm not a christian... But I think Christ would feel lost!

Of course...

If your are extremely positive, you are blind, you will miss the end of the cliff assuming the path still moves on. To be cynical, to question is important.

That does not mean, you throw away optimism. Optimism is essential, just in boundaries.

I think being good or bad are high social constructs. There is no good or bad. There is only self and the others. Every act of ours is for the benefit of ourselves or to serve the 'conscience,' which is again for self satisfaction- high social construct.

Its the survival of the fittest. Not survival of the best man alive.

Read the entire paragraph that I wrote.

You should not have contradicted yourself.

How can it be anything other than itself? By those specific ways.

If a being is X, how can it be anything other than itself?

Unless he is taught to behave otherwise. Unless codes of society or rules are embedded in his mind. One may be born one way but learns to act the other; leading to confusion no doubt, but would remain no more what he was.

Although genes play a primary role in making of a man, it develops upon 'learning'. First thought and then behaviour. What a man is intrinsically cannot be challenged with what he could be made. It is often what a man is and 'how' he is made or directed upon. But I believe a major proportion of the making of a man or of any such debated issues, be it personality or IQ depends on the setup that gives one enough opportunities to celebrate and work on self.

However, when one's natural element is itself highly flawed and leaves no scope of further development, nature's role in comparision otherwise starts to fade off.

While with things such as the IQ, one's competitive nature cannot help; he or she must be 'blessed' with enough gray matter. FOr a person's physical attributes, such as height, genes play a bigger role. But in the making of one's personality it can be nothing more than the environment he or she is brought up in.

You say, without paying regard to the bible stories. What stories? If you want to remain a Christian, what part of christianity do you still want to stick to? Which are the parts you think must be disposed?

If you choose to ignore certain aspects, adopt the others and stay christian, I think you would just be repeating history.

You believe Earth is not flat. Aren't you a Christian? Middle ages, you would be in a cell. But now, you are.

So yup! You choose what you want to be. We all do in a way.

I dunno if I could say Christians are all hypocrites. I mean of course not. But, it takes spirit to see through the opaque that something is wrong. To rebel against the majority. I'm sure when you say you hate Christians, you don't throw stones at all of them.

That's very well said. I think the brighter notion of life, the optimistic outlook. Instead of being cynical is better off to be this. If life has moved in a broader aspect. Life must be looked upon with the same perspective.

I always thought she was a creepy old man from India?

Hellno.. I am a girl!

This is weird. I am on the spot light? Wow..

The minimum argument length is 50 characters. The purpose of this restriction is to cut down on the amount of dumb jokes, so we can keep the quality of debate and discourse as high as possible.

NO... Its not "legal" the way you put! Have you actually read the QURAN? Ur argument is based on the internet sources that can be misleading. Islam may be a little out of modernity, but it is a widely followed religion, it can't be that stupid. You have to be dumb to even believe that!
