I don't even think there should be a name for it... there shouldn't be a name for a natural state of being like that, it just seems silly to me. (like corn-on-the-cob is stupid because.. It grows ON the cob! lol..)

Nobody is born believing in a religion... they are taught (brainwashed..) by family, church, etc...

Besides, theists deny many many gods, I only deny one more than them.

Do you have a link to a screaming baby abortion? I wasn't aware they could do that in such an early gestational period.

1 point

Exactly!! It's far safer and more humane for the mother to have access to a professional medical facility in which to be educated and make her decision.

How has science done that? Any citation? Any proof of that claim?

If a person still has rights over their body after death, women should definitely have rights over their bodies in life.

I don't think abortion is a good thing, I am a far bigger supporter of birth control and safe sex, but I would never EVER vote to take away a womans right over her own body.

In denial of what? Denial of God? Which one exactly? I only deny one more God than most theists ;)

If every single species of land animal on Earth spread out from the landing site of the Ark, today’s living varieties of animals, & their fossilized ancestors would reveal a pattern of dispersal from a single site... which they do not.

Animal and human life on Earth shows far too much genetic diversity to originate from only a single pair of ancestors just a few thousand years ago.

There isn't even enough water on Earth to cover every mountain peak as stated in the fable.

Where the hell is the Ark? The righteous family just walked off of it and.. didn't remember where it was? Didn't bother to mark the spot of the boat that saved all of humanity?

IT DIDN'T WORK. What was the point of sterilizing the world of wickedness.. when there is still wickedness? There is still cruelty and war all over the Earth.

Besides, why would an "all-loving God" murder every single being on the planet (besides Noah's family) when it contradicts his divine love? Don't forget... that would mean.. infants were killed, pregnant women, puppies, small children, kittens, the disabled, seniors, devout followers.... it's ridiculous.

He seems a lot more progressive than his predecessors. He also doesn't flaunt all the gold and money like the others. I see him as more down to earth.

We have photos of the earth, and even before that - we could observe the curvature of the earth during eclipses. Even ancient people could figure that out ;)

1 point

I think it can be either. Most of my family/friends that are homosexual would say they were born that way, but not all. I think people can use their personal experiences in life and come to a homosexual preference over time. I respect both sides and think it really doesn't matter - we should show everyone respect regardless of their sexual orientation.

1 point

Haha, yes - their last I think.. 4 debates created, all have the word "gay" in the title, lol!

1 point

Having gay friends doesn't automatically make you non-homophobic. Just because your supposed gay friends haven't expressed that you hurt their feelings doesn't mean you haven't done so. There is no reason any loving mature and financially responsible couple shouldn't be able to adopt. I'm sure your "gay friends" would be upset with you if you told them they were somehow less competent or able to raise a child than a straight couple. It is ridiculous and very mean to assume that.

They have literally nothing in common with one another. This argument is ludicrous.

How could the USA possibly be the greatest country? So many Americans act like we're the only country with freedom or something and just show their ignorance by saying things like that. We lead the world in only three categories: Number of incarcerated citizens per capita, number of scientifically illiterate adults, and defense spending.

Because we know that there are a countless amount of galaxies and the probability of life outside our tiny planet is far too great to deny.

1 point

couldn't people ask the same about "god"? where did he come from? you cant argue nothing from nothing when "god" came from nothing. well, god did come from something.. peoples minds and ignorance of the world around them.

3 points

Evolution for sure. Creationism is just being okay with remaining ignorant about biology, chemistry and the laws of nature. It's just lazy, has ZERO evidence, and literally makes no sense whatsoever when you actually use an educated brain.

1 point

You have no proof or anything intelligent to say, do you? :)

1 point

Its not stupid to respect others.

Conservatives and Christians aren't the only people in the USA, so it doesn't matter AT ALL what you deem to be "normal".

Umm, what happened with the "Gay movement"? People can get married now? How is someone having rights that you've always had a problem?

Christianity DID NOT INVENT MARRIAGE AND THEREFORE CANNOT DEFINE IT.

Next thing you know tax payers will have to pay for YOUR religious services, churches, and land - OH WAIT WE ALREADY DO! stfu about paying for shit when religion is the biggest tax scam on the planet.

Your religion must be very weak if it is threatened by other people happiness.

I don't know if this is considered a "contradiction" but in the bible, it says there were days... and THEN it says the sun was created later..?

I think its a good thing to learn in order to develop your own unique writing style, I tend to mix in a little cursive with my print. Also, signatures are exclusively cursive.. so what, would we only learn our names? Its also very beautiful, it would be a shame if future generations couldn't read or write it.

Area 51 IS a place though, it DOES exist, people work there. It probably doesn't have aliens, but it is a real place.

The question doesn't ask if they have been to Earth, only if they exist.

1 point

Absolutely. The vastness of the universe is incomprehensible to humans, to think that there is no intelligent life anywhere else is nothing short of idiotic, and extremely egotistical.
