I've listened to Minaj since someone recommended her to me

Was it Mingiwuwu?

Usually today what I've heard on the radio is a lesser form that what was coming out previously.

Yes, mainstream rap has definitely decayed. Rap has evolved though, it's just that most good rap has been confined to the underground now. The stereotype of rappers being ignorant drug addicts etc. is the impression most people get from mainstream rap, and that sadly causes them not to realize it's true potential. If you explore the lyrically complex and "conscious" side of rap you will find something very different, and it is the heavy emphasis on lyrics in rap that makes it special and is why I hold it in such high esteem.

If we look at art as something that elicits an emotion, then sure it has some value from an artistic perspective but it's certainly not the highest form of art.

How "educated" would you say you are when it comes to rap? Because you don't strike me as someone who would be that familiar with it.

I hate Hillary Clinton. I think she has corporate special interests so far up her vagina that her feet don't even touch the ground. Just like most Democrat politicians, she is a perfect example of the problems that arrive from capitalism when moneyed interests essentially buy the government.

Bernie Sanders didn't say that, that is a mischaracterization of what he said. I am going to incrementally degrade the structural integrity of your butt cheeks for saying the lies of dishonesty.

What you replied to was specifically about poetry though, and you made every effort to argue that pop is more poetic in the stupidest way possible while making no effort to clarify when you were responding to the debate title or the thing you were directly responding to so one can only assume that your assertion that singing is better than rapping because it sounds "more beautiful" is an attempt to debunk what you were directly responding to.

Rap lacks severely compared to pop if we go into the delivery and the FORM OF 'flow' that is displayed.

We are talking about poetry here, and you are talking about delivery and flow. Also you are talking utter bullshit. There is no pop song that has a "flow" better than Tech Nine and when you say delivery you are probably conflating singing delivery with rapping delivery which are to be judged by different standards which overlap in some ways but do not in others.

even the dumbest, slowest listener can truly comprehend it

That is a good thing how? If you want to sell catchy, mindless, repetitive music to the dumbed down masses (which is the essence of pop music) then it is good. If you want to create complex and/or deep poetry then appealing to and being understood by "the dumbest and slowest" is a BAD thing.

That's not a pop song fuckwit, that's low quality EDM with vocal samples. It doesn't even contain a single iota of "poetry" either.

I can like Vinnie Paz and still recognise he's a militant Muslim nutbag talking about Holy Wars and slicing people up with a kitchen knife.

That's still more deep and intelligent than pop music even if you pretend that's the deepest he gets. The fact of the matter is you are an idiot, you literally said that pop music is more poetic than the most poetic genre and the reason you gave is that it tends to be more "catchy" LOL. You literally don't know what poetry is. Go ahead and show me what you think is the most poetic song of the pop genre and I will show a rap that dismantles it's buttocks systematically in terms of poetry.

Bananaz(66) Clarified

You're delusional. I don't care two cents about anything you think or say

Then why is a Vinnie Paz fan pretending that rap is more shallow than pop music?

Bananaz(66) Clarified

You're an absolute retard. You don't even believe what you're saying, you know how stupid it is but still you say it because your only goal is to piss me off as much as possible. I see through it and all it does is remind me how worthless you are. Pop is the least poetic genre of music and rap is the most poetic, and these are objective facts. Rap has artists like K-Rino, Vinnie Paz, Immortal Technique and Canibus. Pop music is shallow music designed for normies.

Nor is most of it "poetry", as the OP seems to believe. Most rap is street talk over a beat.

I don't think you understand what poetry is. It's not about writing in some stereotypical way. What about "street talk" disqualifies something from being poetic if it has rhymes, metaphors, wordplay, alliteration etc?

Rap, ( the C must have been broken on the keyboard when the name was being typed) is a boring monotone, recurring beat with slangy, boastful childlike patter for words.

Actually it's the most poetic genre with many different types of instrumentals which often draw inspiration from classical, techno, ethnic music etc. Your opinion is simply that of someone who has not properly explored or understood rap music.

Here are some examples of rap when the subject matter is intelligent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXtQE-MhY5k

The poetic skills are on full display: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McKLCgCe0YU

and the instrumental is on point: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLKF1ydRwro

Because it wasn't there until after they announced they were going to build a space station you glorious buffoon.

I am going to tell you that I am shoving a lobster up your ass, but really it will be a crab.

1 point

Yes but only if it's high quality, nutrient dense rap music.

1 point

In a way you are right because in nature the more fat you are, the more nutrients you have and no one can even be obese because it is burned by hunting and other activities. The only people who could be unhealthily obese are old people, overfed babies and the priest-kings who invented the concept of religion to trick people into giving them special treatment. However in modern society most fat people are just losers. They do not have nutrient dense fat, they have high omega-6, low omega-3 factory farm/plant oil/carbohydrate/sugar fat.

Uh, nope.

Yes it is. Don't pretend you even know about it. You only know a stereotype of it promoted by the mainstream music industry. If you are willing to open your mind, I can show you what I mean.

there is now an international space station, which is visible from the ground

And you assume that a speck in the sky is what NASA tells you it is why exactly?

1 point

Visual evidence confirms this.

What if you are only told that by the Illuminati and it's fake though?
