Nah, the last 5 times I tried to debate him he blatantly, intentionally misrepresented my statements and then ignored me. The literal only reason he comes here is to try and make himself appear intelligent and others appear stupid, along with targeting specific individuals and attempting to harm them emotionally as much as he can while appearing like the good guy to everyone else. I do not have any money because instead of being a wage slave I have been trying to find ways to make money independently, but literally EVERYTHING requires you to have money in order to make money doing it except for being a wage slave (which often requires money as well). Even if you do not care about the social construct, you still must try to become rich because the fact of the matter is that in our current society that social construct dictates your quality of life and influence over society. If socialists do not pursue wealth we are just letting the capitalists have it all and stay in control as well. Capitalism is not completely un-meritocratic but if it was boiled down to a mere yes or no rather than a nuanced answer I would have to say no, it is not a true meritocracy. The main reason it is not is this; If you do not have equality of opportunity you do not have meritocracy, and in order to have equality of opportunity everyone must be born into equality of outcome in the sense that no one would be born into poverty or disproportionate wealth, and everyone would have the same access to resources in the beginning but gradually have to do more earning as they reach adulthood.
