Joe, will you please remove me from your list. I receive you in my inbox. You are quite possibly the most repulsive human being I have ever encountered. That is not meant as some kind of controversial complement. Although I'm sure you'll portray it as such.

You are perfectly suited to your party and the circus it has become.

You took the enjoyment I used to find here. I'm sure many others have left for similar reasons.

I support the view: who cares. Joe, I figured you'd have moved on to higher things by now. How very conservative of you.

I must say that I am rather sick of my fellow Catholics at the moment. But I also must say that there is a right wing within the church.

I asked my priest why the abortion litmus? He told me this - Imagine we were allowed to terminate a child up to a year of age. Nearly all people would be firmly against this inhumane practice. There comes a smart candidate running for office that is probably best for most needs of the country. But, he is for allowing the termination of one year olds. In this case, this candidate would not be elected, as the majority see the horror of this practice. We Catholics feel the same way about the unborn.

I see his point. I can also see many other points too and so I do as the Pope suggests and work passionately for the common good.

Yes sounds fun. We can all get over the awkwardness with a few glasses of bubbly. Right?

We set all the tables together so there's no groups. We have the whole weekend so there is plenty of time. No name tags at first. Sounds great...

Hey we all get to go home, without each other. What does not kill us makes us stronger.

Metal detectors a must.

3 points

Interesting.

I just want more Dunder Mifflin.

Thank you (curtsy)

No offense. Just worried about you silly guys! But if it's not permanent, no worries.

:))))))))

"Everyone in this debate has lost their sanity."

Yes that happened in the pregnant Sims debate. Is it permanent?

2 points

Thanks for the feedback Joe. And for the up votes!

Cow's milk is made for baby cows, not humans in the first place. Kinda like feeding dog food to your cat.

Well anime, your view is a very practical one. The biological function of sex is to reproduce. Just as the function of the breast is as a mammary gland.

I think that we have lost touch of human design in this modern society. Fevers are designed to burn out pathogens. When teeth come in, it's time to start eating solids. Sex is the means of reproducing.

I think that a lot of things go awry the further away from natural they get - sex is no exception.

When sex is viewed as recreation rather than what it intended for, than we as a society end up with problems. Unwanted pregnancies and a need for abortion, only one of many of those problems.

Sex is fun & natural. I personally do not use sex to simply reproduce. I am however aware of it's design and realize that when it is treated as a toy, immoral results are more likely to occur. But changing that, is changing the view of a society.

Robust is good - I would love to have a Newfoundland too.

But this hairless looks like my pooch - without all the little white eyelash hairs on my couch or black sweater.

Really to me it doesn't matter what it looks like - a dog with a nice personality is the thing.

I know if I looked like that, I'd really try and highlight my personality!!!

1 point

I wanted to be a Hillary supporter.

One of the most appealing things about Obama was the positive nature of his campaign. Hillary was a negative presence from the beginning. She was almost as bad as the McCain campaign.

I know it's politics and we're used to and expect dirt, but we collectively just said we prefer campaigns run on principles. Hillary and her kitchen sink had to turn around and eat every word she said in supporting Obama. I'm sorry, she under-minded herself and I can't see her as a woman really. I see her as hardened in her efforts to fit into a man's world.

As Secretary of State, I'm quite sure she's capable, but only Obama would be enlightened enough to invite that woman to join his team.

1 point

Oh well aren't you guys soooo cute. Maybe you two should do a duet?

3 points

I give you credit for being here and being interested. That's beans.

Just remember that you can learn a lot if you are open to it. If you think you already know it all, your sponge starts dripping, and you can't suck up any more information.

If you are well thought and sincere, then it doesn't really matter if you get credit or not - if you can really be proud of what you do. In fact, when you stop worrying about the credit and focus on what you're saying, then you start being credible.

I'm thinking of bringing to light, via local paper that no area Vets are doing pro-bono work to help solve our huge unwanted pet problem. I'm thinking that I figure out a way to work with different people involved to make that happen.

Also thinking there needs to be some-kind of networking resource for voluntarism. I myself would love to do more volunteer work, but I don't where I am needed other than the obvious - soup kitchens, animal shelters, nursing homes. There needs to be a resource that covers all depths. Lets say I am a vocational school student interested in auto body. I go to this resource and find a listing for a body shop that needs freshly painted cars washed, in trade for following the process from prep to paint. The possibilities are endless there just needs to be a source that links people.

As for you, I am just glad Gargamel didn't eat you, or turn you into gold. I mean 8 years is a long time! Thank goodness Gargamel is a blundering idiot! Thank goodness for the sun!

The separation of church and state is a religious and political doctrine derived from the first amendment of the United States Constitution. The establishment of America was greatly motivated by the desire to worship freely without involvement from the government.

Religion is between the person and their God. That person is not accountable to any other person for their beliefs. The right of the government can only influence actions, not beliefs.

Religion is interpreted differently by everyone, scholars and everyday practitioners alike. For any one person - yourself, or government to claim to know God's will is completely arrogant. I mean whose moral and religious principals shall we use to govern this nation? Shall we use that of a Catholic, or a Baptist? Maybe a Mormon or a Lutheran? How about Pentecostal or Wesleyan? We could really go out on a limb and use the moral and religious principals of Islam or Buddhism. And each of these will also be subject to interpretation of those moral and religious principals which might be a completely different interpretation than mine or his.

Of course the government is influenced by the religious beliefs of those we elect. It becomes a problem when those beliefs step on the beliefs of others. That is another purpose of the doctrine - to provide an absolute - that we are one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for ALL.

-History I believe furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance, of which their political as well as religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purpose. -(Thomas Jefferson, in a letter to Baron von Humboldt, 1813; from George Seldes, ed., The Great Quotations, Secaucus, New Jersey: Citadel Press, 1983)

NO! I want him!

I am trying to transfer the energy I put into the campaign, to other areas where i can be of use. I was very involved and it felt good to be a part of something so powerful. Look what grassroots can do.

Now imagine if that same power, under a service movement. You know, ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country kinda thing. Now that could really get things done.

So this debate is a way to toss around some ideas, & plant some seeds maybe.

1 point

But what I want to know BettyJoe, is can you down a whole Coke like that?

1 point

I hate this topic - I can clearly see both sides as I straddle the fence. I do believe that the solution is a lot more simple that what we're making of it.

Maybe it is beyond the reach of government. Maybe it should be left to individual churches to handle the ceremony part.

This video is a great perspective tool. Click on view trailer.

marriage is a deep rooted, traditional, religious based union of man&woman;under the creed "be fruitful & multiply". There should be a preservation of the sacred union of marriage.

The troubling part of my stance is that in today's society many a marriage is not treated as a sacred union. Adultery & other violations of that union are a reality inside the Christian faith as well as outside of it.

I believe that a special place should be carved out for same-sex unions or civil marriages. I do not believe that anyone should be denied basic rights like hospital visitation or health care insurance, simply because the person they love is of the same sex.

The Christian Right claim to hate the sin but love the sinner, such judgment is hurtful to good people. Many of whom are truer to God's message that those who do the condemning.

I know that my whole argument is what Prop 8 is all about. I know that it was passed. I do believe that there is a suitable solution within the confines of it's wording. It's just finding it.

1 point

Yes that is me in animation, right before I "enemy-ed" you!

I have made a full recovery though & repainted the walls.

Life is good!

1 point

I turn mine off after New Year's and leave them up, but off, until the weather allows.

If you are in a warm climate, I'd say take them down after the holidays settle down and you have a nice day with not much to do.

What have you done in the past without our help?

1 point

Wow - just like all the comments, I've tears in my eyes. Nice , thank you.

2 points

OMG don't get me started - you won't like me when I turn PETA. I do get quite fanatical.

2 points

Nice question - lemme think on that

I think your list is pretty inclusive

1 point

At least he aptly named himself! I don't even despise the guy, but he doesn't shine a very nice light on himself.

On abortion - I believe it is the taking of a life, whether the pregnancy was caused by rape or carelessness, it ends in the same result.

I believe that since the embryo can not survive outside of the host, that that choice is up to the woman only.

I think that if the embryo was able to sustain life outside of the woman's body at the legal cutoff for abortion, then it should be illegal.

I don't condone abortion, but believe it is not within the reach of government.

I Believe in total ban of late term abortion - at that gestation the fetus could sustain life outside the womb.

1 point

Yeah - it's saying something, but I've been touched so much that a cartoon just don't get it. I felt the history when they called it for him. That was moving.

3 points

One more thing while I'm at it. My Mother said she has never felt so hopeful in her life - she said he reminds her of Bobby Kennedy, in their dream to really change the world.

I have registered so many people who have never voted before, that came out to vote in this historic election. One new voter was a woman 89 years old. I didn't ask her which candidate she preferred. I honestly guessed that she would be a McCain supporter. When she was done with her form, she grabbed my arm and said "I have never voted in my life, and I want to vote for Obama. I believe him." I hugged her and thanked her for her vote. I went to her house on Election Day to make sure she made it to the polls. She voted her first time ever -in all the elections she's seen pass -for Obama. Simply because she believes him.

So you are questioning her, with all her life wisdom, you feel you have the right to tell her that she fell for celebrity.

You are suffering a lack of perspective. You have closed down & shut out. I wish there were something I could say that would help you gain perspective.

I feel that it is important to lend a hand in making this place what we want it to be.

2 points

I am disappointed in you - the minority who continue to insult the majority of fellow Americans who spoke loud & clear when we elected President Obama.

What is even more insulting, is that you insinuate that he duped us - celebrity hype. Have you thought for just one minute that he EARNED this?

Please step out of your comfortable mind-set and allow yourself to grow.

I honestly feel that you are the one who has bought into some hype and that you can eat your words now.

The worst part is, that you are continuing an attitude of division. He hasn't even taken office, & you have decided that we are doomed.

I have a novel idea for you - think outside of your narrow comfort zone, join in with something positive, do your part, instead of adding to the problem.

4 points

My faith in America has been restored! Our reputation has just been reset in the world - just by his election, and we're just getting started.

He can't do everything he wants to but what he can do has already begun - to dream of making the world a better place.

I am so uplifted to be a part of this movement and I have come to the conclusion that if you can't be a part - get out of the way - wouldn't be better to be on the side of something positive?

1 point

We did get exactly what we asked for! I love it!

*ignoring your sunshine-stealing undertones :))))))))

Unity Joe, think unity

1 point

Yes we are, but England and all their rags are worse. I get tired of hearing about celebs. I do like it when they use their position to support good causes though - I just don't care what they are wearing or who they are dating.

1 point

CNN - WE DID IT!!!!!!

2 points

It would be hard to loose tonight.

I think that even if Obama had been the one, his supporters would not have reacted the same.

The reason I think is - leadership. We chose leadership tonight.

1 point

Yeah, I think that is why John tried to make public comments denouncing racism and fear of Obama - he doesn't want to be tagged a racist in history - just a jerk I guess.

But in this historic race,he will forever be known as the other guy.

1 point

Very clever. I love the pillows - who needs condoms with that crazy guy licking his sucker?

1 point

I love paradigm on facebook-or if you want a in depth one -Neopets.

I used to subscribe to Toontown - sooo much fun and mostly adults play - I made a lot of friends there but it became too time consuming. It's free to start but you can only get so far in the game.

3 points

I liked it,but hey it's Obama.

It was good to see him solidify his plan, uninterrupted, and never once mention McCain.

1 point

No I don't think it's a gay agenda, I think it's a be kind to humans agenda.

I'm glad someone other than my Mother pointed it out. See I have little brothers and they have said that as an insult, because it's something that is used and they don't really even think about it. My Mom shut them down. It's rude and unkind and not said here. Boom.

If something is rude & unkind, you should be aware and try to change it. What's the benefit?

You seem to think it's ok to say whatever you want. You probably make fun of all sorts - I mean I've seen you blatantly rude as a rule here.

Maybe your Mom never shut you down. Maybe you were never taught. But I'm sure if my little brothers can understand, so can you.

I like the girl wearing a skirt as a shirt part.

2 points

You just called them a shit country. Do you even realize how you sound? and that you are part of the problem, not the solution.

4 points

There have been many countries who have offered to go in and finish up. What we should do is hand it over. It should not be ours anymore - it should belong to the UN. This is just ridiculous - they don't want us there. Can you imagine?

We have to start healing, and representing the US as a world leader again. Not bullies.

1 point

My points jumped from 83 to 208. Are those the points in question?

1 point

Hey wait a minute... Can one of you explain just how points are given?

I am a book monster.

I was shopping today, and all I kept thinking about was getting home and trying for points.

I didn't even catch on to the contest until a few days ago. I am so far behind it would help to know what to do to catch up.

Or can I even catch up at all? i think you two are in the know.

2 points

My sweetie is from England. A few years back the dentist thought he would need a root canal. He didn't have dental coverage. It would have been cheaper for him to fly home where he will always be covered and have it done than to have it done here.

What does that tell you.

I have asked them all about how they feel about their health care over there. I've even been there on vacation when Dominic has had eye exams and such. There are no real complaints. You go to the doctor much like here ,call in, go next day, he writes a script, you get it filled - there you go.

His Mum got veneers and it cost less than ONE root canal here.

Watch "Sicko". It really could be the best option.

2 points

Facebook is not so fun. All about apps. Love some of the game apps there tho.

1 point

I have one of each. Myspace is fun. All about self expression.

Corfu - I have fam there. Google it - beautiful. Very easy, old world. Their motto is "why do today what you can do tomorrow". It's my plan of escape if there's a November upset.

2 points

Hey Pyg- you are being quite selective here - you totally skipped over him talking out of both sides of his mouth.

As to your spiel, Obama was talking about TAXES - redistributing taxes - as in tax cuts for middle class and not for the upper crust. He wasn't talking about taking your money and giving it to me. Get off that - if just shows the whole sheep theory is true.

I was questioning his honor.

1 point

Sounds like it could be useful

1 point

Yikes! They were not made for money laundering.

2 points

Smiling :)

We just have to hang around until inauguration. And then once the new guy gets comfortable we'll be back at it I'm sure.

Quick break - then let's all meet in the shopping debates!

1 point

I personally don't believe that money has to do with quality education. I think it is time to take cues from the poorest nations in the world as far as our educational system. Places brick & mortar schools are falling in and children that have no text books far out preform the US. We need to re-think how we teach.

2 points

!00% of McCain adds negative. What's that called... a double talker?

1 point

I agree with you 100%,but is it funding/money the answer?

1 point

Why not? Better than the "Obama channel"! Have you seen that? It wasn't done by him but it just loops the same stuff.

The only bad thing is now every time I see Obama I get this certain dirty picture in my mind. SHUDDER

1 point

I hope we don't have a Senate and House full of Dems. Balance.

If we do, don't blame me , I never vote Republican.

2 points

That all depends on whether he's Johnny Depp.

If he's not than do things like shave his belly with a rusty razor,or throw him in the longboat till he's sober. Keep trying till something works. Make sure if you're the captains daughter that you're not in bed.

I think you are correct - religion has caused the intorerant idealism that causes suffering. I posted on a topic of what three wishes would you choose if you had a genie. After I posted, I realized that I should have wished for all religions to be more tolerant.

For Italian I like a nice authentic balsamic vinegar & quality olive oil.

For English Worcestershire is good Lea & Perrins works. But the real deal is a good English mustard. Colman's yellow & whole grain. Best with a roast! yumm

Like it even though I can't buy much from them.

Yes the gaydar is beeping.

1 point

Yeah you're slacking - only I hope you wouldn't be male-esque in noticing! I'm catching a bit of heat for noticing so maybe it's good that you didn't!

1 point

I don't remember where I noticed but, I the reason I noticed was that one of the pictures looked like the Virgin Mary with her hands folded in prayer - I got a slight bit of excitement "yay!another Catholic here!"

So I clicked and it was really not Mary. I thought it was a cool pic regardless - artsy nudie - so I went to their profile and saw that most of their allies were nudie pics as well and they were all similar in points (new). Like accounts all created at the same time.

Just seemed weird like another multi account thing happening. Why does it matter to me? Because it adds confusion and makes for an untrusting environment - like you never know who you're talking to.

Just an observation by me. That's why I posed it as a question -is it just me?

1 point

We'll stick a boot in your ass(or pipeline) it's the American way!

1 point

You didn't answer my question. Do you really think it's three individuals? Am I asking you to step on toes? Just ignore me if I am.

1 point

Have you seen all the new start ups with the sexi boob pics as their default? They are all new- I think there are three of them, and all have each other as allies(and Joe as well - he's such a banana!). It seems we have another someone with multiple accounts. Is it just me?

1 point

I know I just can't imagine. The only things I kill are flies and mosquitoes and even then I'm aware I've just killed something. To kill a human? A child? What kind of person has that ability?

Oh I see - that's how I felt when I entered public school - what planet are these people from - I soon enough found out.

Yes - ahh high school days!

2 points

Sooo sad- I can't imagine. He's just a little boy. This is when the death penalty actually seems kind.

1 point

Aww nice story. I can't help but feel bad for the messy house kid though. It reminds me of a brief time in high school that at the time seemed like the end of the world. We bought a house out in the country that needed work - but my mom fell in love so we moved in. The water was well and I went to a Catholic school and wore white shirts with my uniform. Yeah - my white shirts were turning orange. I remember pleading with my parents to get it fixed or buy me a new shirt for everyday. I remember feeling dirty and embarrassed. Ended up washing my clothes at Grandma's house who lived like normal people in the city. Then the house was always under some kind of repair and I never wanted to have friends over. It was really tragic to me then. Looking back how silly - but I still felt bad for the kid you two had laughs over. Glad it turned out happy though. Even here it happens ;)

1 point

I enjoy Rachel too - she's great. You can't beat Keith Olbermann's rants though!

2 points

Oh my - I didn't want to see that. That's kinda like seeing my dad or my priest's stuff. Not good. But hey! thanks for sharing. At least now I can't imagine him lacking in any area!

I say you help me win and I'll send you what ever book you want with my autograph for free! Now that's a deal.

I used to be a saint, but of late I pop off more easily. When I'm mad I'm like a pit bull or the cartoon guy with fire coming out his ears, but it's short lived.I'm working on living in the moment and letting each moment pass - that way I can look forward to the next moment. It helps me stay cool.

1 point

Obama for sure. We couldn't have a McCain meltdown in the middle of a crisis.

Obama's a celebrity... no he's a terrorist... no he's a socialist - The economy is fundamentally strong ... we're in a crisis... suspend the campaign...don't bail out AIG...bail out AIG...bail out Wall Street...Do you believe this awful Wall Street bailout? - I'm not worried about a washed up terrorist like Ayers...You have nothing to be afraid of in an Obama presidency...Who's the real Obama?...no he's not an Arab...send robocalls warning of Obama's ties to Ayers...

No thank you - he can't keep it on point in a campaign, hows he going to when he gets a real crisis. If you really like the guy, wish him into retirement - he's served well. Don't you think he deserves his feet up?

1 point

This is a big issue in my fam. We are all very anti- nursing home. My Great grandfather died on the floor of one unnoticed for hours.

We have all talked and agreed. My Grandmother has a do not resuscitate bracelet. My Grandfather was a member of the Hemlock Society and departed us on his own discretion.

But Joe is going to assist me - Ok Joe - if you see dementia setting in you got me - right? And I got you if I see any signs of Palsy. Great to have allies.

1 point

I'm sure things like this go undetected all the time. I'm just glad there were no dead bodies involved. Or cheated on wives for that matter.

1 point

It does make the slinger look really bad. I think we as Americans have just voted for a cleaner campaign style. We just said you can be civil while pointing out what makes your opponent the wrong choice. Wouldn't it be nice if this election became a model for future ones - if we raised the bar?

2 points

I must say I have almost no understanding for child molesters. I say kill em all, I know this is something I need to work on - being more understanding of even sick humans.

2 points

I agree with you. Lord knows we are blind enough.

Although if I were faced with life in prison, I honestly think I would prefer death. I am not scared of death - I am scared of dying. The manner in which they die is cold and inhumane. Death might actually be the easier road in some cases. Dunno.

I love love love - Keith & Rachel - Randi Rhodes too.

1 point

I wanna know what happened outside school. Juicy details please.

1 point

Pyg- again I did not down vote you. But I can sure see why someone did. You say anything about sucking a dick and you are confused by a down vote??? Now I'm confused.

You should have known when you posted that homeboy. You should also know that it doesn't even deserve a rebuttal.

1 point

Maybe - I'm smiling again :)

2 points

Joe- I thought you were the king of emotional arguments mixed in with personal attacks. That's why I couldn't deal with you. You really were. Really.

And the price of tea in China is that if Obama had a bill like that - you would have created some weird smear saying that he spent 4K on make up made by terrorists or something.

I'm glad that you at least recognize that it is a bad thing even though I don't think Kukla is there. I even left you a nice note on the matter!

They have made it clear they do not want us there. We need to work closely with the Iraqi government to get out as soon as safely possible.

Imagine if we were invaded by lets say Russia because they felt that Bush was a threat.

He hid in a hole and Russia took over, killing our people and destroying our land.

There were American refugees.

They finally find Bush and execute him. But, they stay and occupy- more killing, more destruction.

Some of us get militant and decide to bomb Russian tanks and try to kill Russian soldiers. We want our country back and the bastards won't leave - they're killing our families.

Back in Russia - their media portrays American civilians as killers and dangerous - we can't leave now these people are dangerous.

All we are doing is trying to get them to leave our home! Russians now use the words Americans & Christian to mean vile enemy.

A man in Russia announces his run for office, his mother was Russian his father was British and had little to do with him, leaving when he was only two.

This guy has some real ideas and wants to bring an end to the war in America. But he faces a onslaught of criticism based not on his ideas but on trivial things his name is John Allen Smith.

His name sounds American and he's a Christian.

At his opponents rally a messy haired old woman stands up and says -but I've read he was a Christian - the opponent assures her that he's not a Christian and that he's a decent family man. But they are scared and they yell terrorist all because his name sounds American.

And I'm spent.

1 point

I don't care if they break apart and spin around and light up the sky turning into a thousand little Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who come landscape my lawn and deep clean my house right before a long day of campaigning for Obama. Just as long as they go.
