This question makes me sick to my stomach. There is nothing worth sacrificing your children for.

Definitely not. While he does create a LOT of debates, it's nice he's so involved. Some of his debates are pretty good too. I say keep him around.

Abortion is the killing of a child. No one should be willfully killed, be it at 1 week or 100 years. When I had my first ultrasound with my son, I was 5 weeks pregnant, which means I had become pregnant 3 weeks prior. My son had a heartbeat. How can anyone anyone anyone stop a beating heart on purpose? Your decision should happen BEFORE you find yourself in this position. If it is ok to abort, why do those who do so end up so destroyed for the rest of their lives? It's because they know they killed a human and that will rest on their hearts for life. If only their child had such an opportunity. For those of you who wrote that there is no God, and were angered by such a defense, I will pray for you. Because without faith, you really have nothing.

Not if you want a second date, or a relationship out of the deal. You may get more botty calls, but it most likely will not go anywhere.

They need a few laughs after all the hell they've seen.

I like this rationale. Too bad $5 Million for the government is like $0.50 to me.

It was patriotic at one time to ban together and buy war bonds and other things to help the government and our troops during WWII. There could be something patriotic about everyone doing their part. There should be something patriotic about it. However, I find that there is no patriotism left in this country. It's more "what can you do for me", not "what can we do for each other." Over taxing the rich is ridiculous. It's not patriotic to work your butt off and then give it all to the government who then decides how it should be spent. If you are a shareholder in a company, you get a financial report. The companies (most times) are held accountable for their actions, what their credits and debits are. However, there is nothing like that in the Federal Government. We have to pay, but we have no choice in what that money goes to and there is no way for us to regulate the responsible spending of that money. Yes, I know, we VOTE for those who are supposed to have our best interests in mind, but they care about their own bottom line, not ours.

No, I just wish that they would shut up. I feel like we can't escape them and their soapboxes. Most of them do not know what they are talking about. For the ones that do, get your own political show if you feel like it's necessary for you to tell us all what you think. You can be the anti-Rush. I just don't care what you think, your life is nothing like mine.

1 point

Why do actors think that we care about their opinions regarding political matters? Why do they think that we want to listen to them and that they actually have an effect on the way that we will vote. If you want to know more about her, do some research. I'll do the same before I make my decision.

I work with priests for a living and I find that hilarious! It's not sacreligious at all.

I'm speechless to this comment really. I mean REALLY who would say that??? He's definitely 100% certifiably an idiot!

I agree that it brings us together. I know that personally I root for all of the athletes. I think of all the years they've dedicated to perfecting their craft (especially the gymnasts) and just pray that they all do their best. They are all just people like us (most with a much better work ethic than I) who are trying to be their very best and represent their nation and their sport the best they can. It shows us that dreams and achievements know no geographical boundaries.

I agree. My father is one of those super right wing republicans who thinks that Obama is a Muslim terrorist. I cannot even begin to count the number of forwards I get from him that imply this. This is a real concern to many in the country and I'm glad that it's out there. It's like the White Elephant in the room that no one is talking about, until now. I'm glad this major concern for many Americans is out. Because whether he is or isn't, if it's a real concern for many, it should be discussed at length.

I like Facebook better, but I've never really used MySpace. My opinion of MySpace is that it is for HS and younger kids. All the predators on it scare me. Since I am about 12 years out of HS, I like Facebook, I don't feel "too old" to use it. Although I probably am.

Barney is more gangster-LOVE that video. But the winner really is Hip Hop Harry. Have you seen this show? it's hard to believe it's real when watching, but all in all not a bad kids show. Brings out the gangsta in all of us!

I got my dad a variety pack from Omaha steaks as well. What a wonderful idea borme! My dad loves to grill, so he'll have lots of fun and think of his kids. I got my husband a watch for father's day b/c my son shattered the face of the one he had, when he threw it down on concrete.

I actually don't think we can decide this until they choose their running mates. That will determine the race, hands down. However, as much as I think we need a change in the White House, I think that McCain is liberal enough of a Republican to be elected. Obama is too polarizing and too liberal for the majority of the country. McCain is much more of a uniting figure in terms of policy and political stance. I guess I choose McCain as well since I am terrified of the depression this country will be headed into if Obama is elected and taxes us all to death.

Of course it does, how could anyone even say differently. If you are focused on anything else besides the road, your focus on driving is less. I'm not sure that it impairs it so much that you can't drive. It's the same as eating a big mac while driving, dealing with a screaming child in the back seat or changing the radio station.

However, I can't believe that people actually text while driving, that's got impair your driving close to drunk driving. How can you focus on the road while pushing tiny buttons? Remember, that's how that group of HS girls died last year, b/c the driver was texting.

I think that it will have a positive impact on the US economy. Just like borme said, this is the land of instant gratification. Those who have massive credit card debt aren't going to use it to pay off debt. That would be against their ways. They are used to living above their means. They will spend it, and unfortunately get further into debt. Everyone keeps referencing $600, but we get $1500 (married with 1 kid), that's a decent amount of money. Like the cheapsters that we are, it's going into savings. But, will I consider buying that new dress knowing I just got an extra $1500, heck yes. Will we go out to dinner an extra night knowing we just got a $1500 cushion? yes. I hear that many will use the money to pay their mortgage. But if they regularly budget for that mortgage each month, believe me they'll consider going out for drinks or dinner an extra night. Which in turn pays a bartender/waitress plus tips, which then encourages him/her to go out and buy a shirt, which then puts commission into someone's pocket and on and on... Will this be the answer to the problem, probably not. But will everyone spend a little more, I believe so.

Although he has come and gone, I really think that the Pope's visit did help Americans. First of all, it's nice to see a religious figure headlining the news for a good reason. For once, it wasn't another story about Britney or some other figure that we idolize so much. I think he tried to bring some healing to the priest sex scandal that has plagued our nation for the last few years. Instead of defaming SNAP, lawyers and others who are a pain in the * and keep trying to create more scandal where there is none, he just apologized and tried to heal. I think that we all can learn a lot from him. We can blame others for things in this world that we do not like, or we can move forward and make changes in our own lives. We can try to bring peace, compassion and hope to others. That in turn brings those same to our lives. America spends too much effort idolizing celebrities and all things money can buy. Should we perhaps look at what truly brings happiness: love, friendship, compassion and hope.

I'm not sure I would "give up" anything, just be more conscious of what I am spending. Perhaps give myself a cash allotment for the week. A budget, yes, that awful B word!! But if we all stop spending, then this situation just keeps getting worse.

The face of a newborn child is the only evidence you need to prove the existence of a wonderful, powerful God who blesses us all.

I think absolutely because I cannot imagine McCain as our next president. I tend to favor the Republican party, but there is just something about him that I don't like. He's like the grumpiest old man alive and seems like a ticking time bomb. I think it's time for excitement in American politics. People, young and old, rich and poor, black, white and yellow are excited by his words. Perhaps they are only words, but he is getting Americans excited about the potential. I fear for our safety, but I think there is no way he will lose.
