There is an extraordinary amount of areas that are prone to natural disasters. Anywhere you live can have many types of disasters (tornadoes, blizzards, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc.).

huh?

It really depends on the situation, but I think that children should experience what it is like to be in a "real" situation. Most adults have to know how to spend time with other people and work with other people. Although the child may be able to spend time with other children, they still need to be able to actually work with others.

So the child should be able to go to his/her friend's house at 12 or 1am because they "feel like it?"

Yes they should. A child should be able to spend time with his/her friend, but there is a point at which he/she is spending too much time. If the child isn't able to finish homework and basic chores, then he/she may need to spend a little less time with friends.

Go home and do it... What if the person grows up and gets a salary job and has to take work home to finish. What will you tell your boss? You can't say "no" or you'll lose your job.

a load of homework

I don't know about you, but I don't know any teachers that are really like the ones on TV. Most homework takes less than 1-2 hours to complete. No teacher is going to tell a student that a 10 page paper is due the next day after they just assigned it...but then again, you seem to think so...

for completing the homework they will get up early and lose their sleep which will affect their health

Here's an idea! Do your homework at night before you go to bed. If a student gets out of school at 5:00pm after practice of whatever, then they still have about 6 hours to get everything thing else done before 11 that night.

Oh... so what are you talking about?

I can go to a store and buy it right now. It was first produced in the US in 1964 and only began selling in England in 1996.

Supporting Evidence: Sunny Delight (en.wikipedia.org)

Sunny Delight...Sunny D? the orange drink? Yes we do have that...

Ok...so... Your argument was that the United States is better than England because the United States has a Bill of Rights. I was just pointing out that your argument is irrelevant because England has a Bill of Rights, as well. Although it isn't word-for-word the United States Bill of Rights, it is a Bill of Rights and does give rights to citizens.

Well I mean...if we drive on the right side of the road, then that can only mean that they drive on the wrong side of the road!

I know England has a Bill of Rights

Why did you say it as if they didn't, then?

What about "That it is the right of the subjects to petition the King, and all committments [sic] and prosecutions for such petitioning are illegal." or "That the subjects which are protestants, may have arms for their defence suitable to their conditions, and as allowed by law." or "That excessive bail ought not to be required, nor excessive fines imposed; nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted." Do you not consider those to be individual rights???

there are about 2 cars for every person

Actually there are about 0.8 cars per person in the United States

I don't believe teachers should have to wear a suit and tie, but they should be expected to dress better than the students. Teachers shouldn't be allowed to wear jeans everyday or go to work in booty shorts and a tank top, but they should wear dressier clothes like khaki's and a collared shirt...just an example

Which accent do you hear that sounds like it has a cold? Just wondering...

Rednecks? Really? I would leave that part out while arguing that the country is better...

Is it not true that you are forcing your ideals onto them? How would you like someone to come over and tell you that you have to get married to this person that you don't know? You may not like it, but those religions could feel the same way about you coming over telling them that they have to marry someone based on western beliefs.

If it's the beliefs of the religion, then I can't make the people change their ideals for me.

...but only recently have the average family been able to buy anything that is family friendly and small enough to actually put into a house. How many people do you know that have a self-owned dam or nuclear power plant in front of their homes?

If you don't think alternative energy is not just a snap of the fingers, then why are you so pushy for alternative energies as if it were just a snap of the fingers?

How am I being pushy? This is just one small step. If I was pushy I would say that all electricity should come from renewable energy right now. Can you please tell me when I said that?

there is not even research and development

Really? Are you being serious? How do you think any information that we have now came to be? Oh...right...it just fell from the sky...

Of course, some things weren't used before but now are probably because they didn't exist.

You proved my point. We have always had the renewable resources, until recently we haven't been able to harness that energy.

I said "No one should expect for someone to snap their fingers and everything be changed over to renewable energy...these things take time." You then responded with, "but in reality, that is exactly what you think is going to be done with alternative energy."

Am I looking at this wrong?!?! How can you possibly get that from what I said??? It's completely opposite...=/

True, but that is not the point, the point is if the alternative energies is so great and cheaper than fossil fuels, it would be here already, but it is not because it is unreliable and inefficient.

What?! Just because something isn't being used doesn't mean that it isn't great. There are plenty of things that weren't used before that are now

Second? What is the first?...............................................
